supposedly
we got back scott maine and ryne white. White seems like minor league filler – corner infielder with little power. Maine could be a decent LOOGY type of arm with a good curve to go with an average fastball. Considering it was Heilman that was sent away, I’m pleased with the return.
Beat me by a minute but here a link if sorts.

well ...
regardless of what we got, shipping out Heilman helps defray the cost of Grabow.
The Grabow deal still amazes me.
Especially with quality relievers like Dotel, Calero, Soriano and Gonzalez out there.

As White Sox fans if Dotel is a quality reliever.

Maybe I just saw all of his bad moments.
Seemed like everytime I saw him pitch, he did something to contribute to a loss.

How much does it save the Cubs?
Anyone know what we would owe the new guys?

They're minor leaguers, paid minor league salaries.

Thanks.
I wasn’t sure if they were both minor leaguers or just one of them.

Congrats to drodd on winning the Fanshot race.
@dbackswriter D-backs acquire RHP Aaron Heilman from Cubs for LHP Scott Maine and INF Ryne White. #Dbacks #mlb #Cubs
@dbackswriter = Steve Gilbert, Diamondbacks beat reporter.
Catch my act on Twitter as @dat_cubfan_dave.
Time to change my sig I guess
This saves about $2 million right?
Just say no to players named Aaron on the Cubs.
Trust me I can't forget about him
Though I don’t see a team being kind enough to take him. At least with Heilman you have the (false) potential for a decent starter.
Still Miles away from being Aaron free.
Now, moving Miles' salary is truly a Herculean task for Hendry.

The math works for that to be the case.

Heilman ...
I remember when I actually watched the NBA (like in the ’90s) how amazed I was that mediocre (or worse) head coaches kept getting jobs (P.J. Carlisimo, etc.).
I feel the same way about Heilman.
