Lincecum was the best pitcher this season
Sorry STL fans but you had one guy who was couldn’t pitch a full season and another who just wasn’t as good.
Lincecum had the highest WAR and lowest FIP. I don’t blame the two writers who left Carpenter off the ballot either. Not when they have other guys who made it the entire season without being injured. When the race is as tight as it was this year health matters.
Still Miles away from being Aaron free.
Lincecum deserved the award
That said I would have zero quibble if Wainwright or Carpenter had won.
