I've been secretly blaming him for the economy.

Stock market down? “Miles did it.” Housing starts still declining? “Gotta be Miles.”

Frankly, it’s believable in a lot of cases.

I thought it was Brett Bielema's fault

He gets blamed for everything else, at least within 100 miles of Madison.

its funny, when I read that ....

I felt like I was reading exactly what was written in the papers about him when he first came here….only the names of the teams are changed. Seattle is just as hopeful as the Cubs were when he first signed with them.

this may sound silly,

but I’ll say it anyway…..after reading that, with all my heart, my woman’s intuition tells me its for the better, for him too. He’s nuts.

Good grief.
"I don’t have any issue with him at all."

Oh, how magnanimous. What kind of thing is that to say about your new manager? Why should you have an issue with him?

Wakamatsu hasn’t called him a piece of 肥料 yet. But it’s only December.

Agreed.

That quote of his, in response to being asked about his new manager, speaks volumes as to Milton’s personality and why he’s so disliked by so many.

by kanderber on Dec 19, 2009 8:51 AM CST up reply actions

Did the media...

Cause his manager to call him a “piece of s***”? Or cause his teammates to break out into applause after he was finally suspended? Or beat his pregnant wife? Or (insert any one of his numerous incidents)?

Someday we'll go all the way...

Funny.

Although I think the correct translation of

When asked about his feelings of Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu, he said: "I don’t have any issue with him at all."
Is: I have never heard of Don Wakamatsu.

"Bradley...said people who criticize him or athletes in general are trying to make names for themselves."

By that logic, just about every Cubs fan in the world should be famous right now.

And kudos for the clever concept, gaclaudy! That’s a hilarious post.

A professional loser.

I was willing to let bygones be bygones, and just take the attitude that signing him was a mistake, we’ve moved on, and good luck in Seattle. Seeing his comments today made me want to break my computer screen. I don’t give a shit what his OBP or OPS or what the hell kind of stats he puts up for the rest of his career, or how many more teams he plays for. The bottom line is, Lou Piniella had it right. Milton Bradley is a piece of shit, a professional loser, and how I ever supported the decision to bring him here (which I did, once we lost DeRosa) is a mystery to me. Good riddance, you narcissistic SOB.

Wow

Reading those quotes, nothing he says is really that bad, or even untrue in my eyes. But, as with all things Milton, people scrutinize every word, rewrite his words, and then post things like:

- I wish nothing but harm, pain and agony on this man
- you narcissistic SOB
- what a douche, a professional loser

It’s embarassing the hate people have for Milton. I wish him success in Seatle and am ready to cheer on the 2010 Cubs.

It's embarassing that people still defend him

He was a complete black hole in the locker room, sucking in all the joy and kindness. He made everyone’s life miserable and slapped away anyone who tried to reach out to him.

He came here with a chip on his shoulder and expected to find the worst. When his expectations were even slightly fulfilled, he acted like the biggest victim in the history of the world.

And you know what? We could have put up with that had he produced.

And don’t even fucking bring me the OBP. That’s not what he was brought here to do. He was a 3-hitter in Texas and THAT’S what he was supposed to do here.

I want him to fail miserably. I want there to be no doubt that Hendry made the wrong call bringing him in and the right call cutting him now. I want there to be absolute certainty that he would not have helped this team in the slightest.

There is no such thing as an ugly female breast

Wow

Exaggerate much? He was a crappy teammate, sure, but you overstate what happened to the point where he’s more powerful than Voldemort.

He’s gone now – get over it. Any statements like yours about wanting him to fail only make his (also exaggerated) statements more true.

We'll have to keep an eye on the Seattle blogs to see when they begin to turn on him due to Milton being Milton

As has been said...

… this is almost exactly what he said when he got to Chicago. Its the “welcome to a new city, Milton” playbook. When he was asked questions about his behavior and issues with other teams, it was the same thing. I wonder how many teams worth of fans were laughing when they heard of Milton’s comments.

Frankly I don’t care how Milton does in Seattle. While I’ve wanted to see other past Cubs not succeed simply because I hate getting the bad end of a trade, I don’t care how Bradley does. I just hope Jim Hendry has learned a thing or two.

good chance IMHO

his attitude would be much different since he would not have millions in the bank, and would need to rely on having a job each monday to go to

that he kept his mouth shut about chicago. if he did that during the season he might have gotten a second chance. this guy is his own worst enemy.no doubt.
