Saito Signs with Braves
I know the Cubs were interested in this guy. Gotta hand it to Frank Wren and the Braves, who saw a need in their bullpen, and nailed it down with Wagner and Saito even before the Winter Meetings!

Just like I thought
Bradley is gonna hold us hostage all offseason! Our bullpen sucked and looks like were gonna go into the new season hoping and praying a bunch of no names and misfits can get the job done! Stupid Stupid Stupid!

Meh.
It doesn’t bother me that much that we didn’t sign him. Saito comes a bit cheaper and with half the years of Grabow, but he’s not lefthanded nor under 40 y/o. And, as far as I can tell, Grabow looks better in a miniskirt handing out drinks (wikipedia).
Though Bradley is holding us by the cup, there’s a lot of offseason left. I won’t be upset until Castillo and Burrell are Cubs.
Come visit me inside Wrigley along the Addison side mezzanine fence straight up from 1st base.

I'm probably overly frustrated
I get on the internet after work, just knowing my Cubbies have done something for me to get overly joyed with!!! C’mon Hendry get me a Granderson and a couple more bullpen arms or maybe a big time starter! I’m ready………………….

No, Bradley is not holding this team hostage
To move Bradley will require swallowing much of his salary and / or taking on somebody else’s rotten contract. So in the end it will be a wash.
Jim Hendry spent himself into oblivion, and now this team is paying the price. Fact is the Cubs are saddled with the ugliest contract situation in baseball when you look at things on the whole. The third highest payroll allotment in baseball, yet our idiot GM has backed us into a corner.
The Blackhawks and the Stanley Cup in 2010.
I agree Hendry has painted the Cubs into a corner
But who was the idiot who let him do this? What was that guy’s name? I think he owned part of the White Sox?
Hopefully Hendry can pull some meaningful and productives move after the Bradley exodus. But Saito isn’t worth the salt of our tears. Rumors had the Red Sox trying to dump him last year, and considering they were in a playoff chase, I wonder what they knew that the rest of us don’t.
