Changes coming for Wrigley Field, scoreboard
...... The front of the scoreboard will remain the same. The back has a neon sign that says "Chicago Cubs," which will remain the same. There will be no ads put on the back of the scoreboard for now.

No real "changes" to the scoreboard.
Sounds like they’re just doing repairs.

This is what Kenny Crane is reduced to...
Presiding over repair work on the scoreboard. I do not understand why Ricketts retained Jim Hendry, and I equally do not get why Kenny Crane was permitted to hang around.

This Chicago Cubs team is currently Aaron free. Keep it that way, please.

This comment shows little knowledge of how a baseball team is run.
Crane Kenney is clearly in charge of upgrading the infrastructure of the team. So far, he’s done a good job.

I am certainly not a fan of Hendry..
… however Ricketts decision to retain him is very simply. Ricketts feels as though he should get to know the front office and the organization a bit better before making wholesale changes. Much as I want Hendry gone, this is the right thing to do.
I'm confused about left field club.
On the mezz? They’re talking about removing suites for a mezz club?
The area the article specifies is where the only elevator in the joint is located. And, it’s the major left field corner exit.
I think, and hope, they mean suite level.
Come visit me inside Wrigley along the Addison side mezzanine fence straight up from 1st base.
I know I will ruffle a few feathers but...
if they need to rebuild the original scoreboard, why not just hang on to it as is, put it in storage until the triangle building is finished, and add it into the theme of the new building. This way they will have much room for the Jumbotron to add to the revenue stream. I know it would suck, but times, they are a changing. This isn’t your fathers or grandfathers Cub team anymore. If Wrigley Field and the team is to remain competitive, the new owners need to be creative.
I doubt they would be able to do that due to the landmark status of the scoreboard
Apart from the landmark aspect, personally I, despite all the economic pro arguments, would dislike seeing a Jumbotron in Wrigley Field.
Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.
