3849328404820898493024821st Peavy rumor

Peavy will allow the trade to the Cubs only if his golf buddy Mark Prior gets invited to spring training.

3849328404820898493024822nd Peavy rumor

Peavy was spotted eating at Marnell's in Chicago Heights after visiting a realtor in Crete buying prime chunks of black prairie in anticipation of booming real estate prices when the new third airport gets built.  A Sox fan from Bloom Township recognized him and tried talking him into seeking a spot on the White Sux' rotation.

3849328404820898493024823rd Peavy rumor

Ex-Governor Rod Blagojevecch will proclaim a "Jake Peavy Day" from his cell phone when the Cubs sign him as he runs past the cameras

Epic Fail.

Not amusing in the least. I award you no points, and my god have mercy on your soul.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

as much as it was not funny

You can easily avoid it by not reading it, so technically you can spare yourself by ignoring it.. haha

Hold on - don't be so quick to send CubNational to the gallows on this one

I award cubnational 1000 unintentional comedy points for using Blagojevich and cell phone in the same sentence.

3849328404820898493024821?

Are you sure? I was certain it was 3849328404820898493024822, but maybe I miscounted sometime back in December.

Can I make a suggestion

It is time Al Yellon put a ban on new threads dealing with Jake Peavy and Brian Roberts. This board has become ridulously consumed with discussion on two players that aren’t going to be aquired by the Cubs. Consumed to the point where it is sucking the oxygen out of any attempts at good discussion on the 2009 Cubs.

I'll second your motion.........

if you got something good to talk about

post it. Otherwise, we’re all just sitting around waiting for Spring Training to start. It’s not like you’re paying by the pixel.

ah, I found a few Cubs fans who got it .. FYI

3849328404820898493024822th Peavy rumor was that he runs a men’s encounter group at Big Sur and that Barry Bonds is a disciple

Easy, people...

…cubnational clearly meant this as parody – it’s not really a Peavy post. And while I wouldn’t expect anyone from the editorial board at The Onion to be calling you anytime soon, CN, at least you kept it short. I’ll throw ya +5 BCB points.

So will I.

If you don’t want to read these posts, don’t. And if you think other things need to be discussed, start a new topic.

(That doesn’t include the 3849328404820898493024821st post on where Alfonso Soriano should bat in the lineup.)
