While we wait for the 2009 Cubs to report tomorrow (at least, the pitchers & catchers), name this Cub from the past. Clue: this one's about as obscure as it gets.

One change in this game: previous winners are ineligible to win again until 30 days have passed... this is to give a chance to others. Thanks!

Under rule

of BCB # a-002 using the baseball reference is akin to using steroids and not tolerated. Copes you are going down a slippery slope and risk being banned for 60 seconds or less.

Well, his given name was Richard Johnson.

So maybe he asked to be called Footer. He must have been fast to get the name “Treads”

Kelley wasn’t that good of a pitcher.

Kelley comes out of nowhere and pitches a three-hit shutout, striking out Campbell 3 times in 3 AB.
