That would be really cool to see
It’ll be like watching David Lee Roth with Van Halen again!

I really like Griffey
Problem is you can stick a fork in him because he is done. I’m not sure why Seattle feels compelled to give him a farewell tour. Hate to be cold-hearted, but jeez.

Griffey can probably have a decent year for them as a platoon DH.

Didn’t they just sign Mike Sweeney to DH? Or is he going to play 1B?

Converted catcher Jeff Clement is slated to play 1st base I believe

FWIW...
…Yahoo!’s depth chart shows Clement as the DH and Bryan LaHair (?) at 1B.
Happy PCR Day, everyone!

Reminds Me of Gary Carter and Reggie Jackson
Carter came back to Montreal to play his final season in 1992 after being away from the club since 1984. Reggie played his last season in Oakland in 1987 after being gone since 1975. I wish Junior luck in his return to Seattle.

One of the few guys....
whose baseball cards I collected religiously who is still playing. In the early ‘90s, Junior’s baseball cards were THE cards to get. Probably one of my favorite non-Cub players of all time. Class guy, played the game the right way. Seemingly, at least. Any PED revelations about Junior would break my heart, but I honestly don’t think that will happen.

This is like
This is like Maddux coming home to us in 2004 although Greg was more productive at that point of his career than Griffey Jr. is now.

i was hoping
that there would’ve been a way for the cubs to bring ol’ greg back to us to finish 2008 out, but i’m not sure there was a place for him. would have been cool if it could have happened.
