List of Bleacher games that are sold out / Overflow ticket discussion thread
I am starting a new thread to list games where bleacher tickets are no longer available. In the past, this was listed in the virtual waiting room.
Not available June 18, July 11.
Al, feel free to delete if you think this duplicative. I believe, however, it is too hard to pull this information from the nearly 400 post main thread.
Continued good luck to all. And I repeat Jessica's advice to get six tickets if you get in. Someone will use them and be very grateful to you.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

This post is fine.
Opening Day is also completely sold out.
You can use this post as an overflow thread, too, if the main page post gets too slow.

Bleachers sold out...
for Friday, May 29 vs Dodgers. I need 2 bleachers for that day. Anyone have extra they’d be interested in swapping?
I have several ticketing windows open right now and would be willing to purchase tix to a game someone may need and swap out??

I bought tickets through VWR for the May 15th vs Houston.
I know they’re not high demand tickets yet. But I took them and now I’m in class….. college sucks

Woot!
Just scored six bleacher tickets vs. the Twinkies on Friday June 12th. Got about fifty windows open.
I was lucky
got in twice by 10:15 and many more times. Had 75 windows open.
This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).
I was able to get bleacher tickets for
4/18 – Cards
7/10 – Cards
8/29 – Mets
If you’re still having trouble, I changed the last digit of the roomid # in the link (I think there are 10 waiting rooms)
I don't know why, but all of a sudden 12 of my windows say, "Chicago Cubs Ticketing"
and is allowing me to process games.
I only need games for one weekend.
Anyone else?

#34: You'll be missed!
All I can say is keep trying with the maximum number of windows open
If you get the ‘high volume of traffic’ message, keep hitting continue.
I’ve had to try some dates when another window popped up later and eventually got in.
I didn’t get all my priority games but still maxed out my allotted tickets.
Sweet Lou for Mayor in '11.
Looking at only 10 out of 81 games so far s
12%…..wonder how this compares….Ricketts and Hendry are watching the real time market demand.
They also have eyes looking to see how other teams are doing.

did you mean to say 10 games sold out so far? I count 15.

my dates are copied
from the virtual waiting room, and it just says sold out, not bleachers are sold out, so i will assume the game is sold out.

Speaking of....
I saw on the news last night – don’t remember the channel since I was elated about another Blackhawk win – that the Cubs’ ST renewals was a staggering 98. Same report said some teams had as little as 60 renewals.
Sweet Lou for Mayor in '11.
Only 98% Renewals?
Lets say there’s 15,000 season ticket holders… that means 300 gave up tickets… seems like too many!

Yeah, I heard that too.
It does sound like too many.
From those who are on the season ticket waiting list — how many spots have you moved up? That’d give us a clue.
"That's my opinion and if you don't like it, well, I have others." ~ Groucho Marx
I just checked my spot on the list
last year around this time, I was 69,613th. Now I’m 69548th, which means I moved up 65 spots. Not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but if I remember correctly, there were only 4 cancellations from 07 to 08 – and 3 of those were because of deaths.
Lou Brown: "My kinda team, Charlie, my kinda team..."
OK, 65 spots
So that’s folks that moved up which could be anywhere between 1 and what, as much as 6 tickets per spot. So 98% seems to be in line.
I still think 98% is great. Look what’s happened in a year; the banks, Madoff etc etc.
Sweet Lou for Mayor in '11.
That would really suck
to wait all these years, finally get the call that season tickets are available, and you were financially set back by the economy.
I don’t suppose the Cubs save your place in line.
"Every team will win 60 games, every team will lose 60 games, it's what the team does in the other 42 games that decides the season."
No saving space in line
however I would suggest you build yourself a network of reliable friends who will share in the tix.
I currently do that with both the Cubs and Blackhawks; and until a month or two ago, the Rush also.

Interesting
I was 4444 a couple of years ago, then moved to 4363. Last year I lost 10 places to 4373 and haven’t moved from that number since.
not sure where I was at
but I am now oh so close, Ionly have to wait a few more generations to reach my spot in line 17168
17168
"I like coconuts, you can break them open and they smell like ladies lying in the sun" Widespread Panic
I'm 26k away...
But as far as I can tell, they haven’t updated it this year. I’m still at 26,216 – same place I was at this time last year.
I figure that is OUTSTANDING in today's economy
Other than the BoSox who by the way have the highest median ticket prices, no other team should come close.
Sweet Lou for Mayor in '11.
No luck for me so far...
But I did take a trip down to the local “chippie” and picked myself up some extremely greasy cod and chips, wrapped in newspaper to go… just how it should be done :)

4 tickets to one of the july braves games
Preferably, infield lower upper deck or something not behind a pole.
I’m not too worried about it though, I’m sure I’ll be able to get tickets no problem. And if chocolate digestives are your weakness, e-mail me… it’s not too hard for me to throw a few boxes in the mail!

Meh
VWR no fun. I finally got through around 6pm GMT and could only get section 216 for the one game I’ll be in town for. All the pix I’ve been able to find feature a big pole in them, although I don’t think any of our seats are right behind it.

Sect 216, Row 6, Seat 5 has the pole
I sat in 216-2 Row 13 Seats 5-6-7-8 and one of the seats was very obstructed (completely covered the batter’s box).
Your seats are between these two sections. There is no 217.

I sat in 216 for my first Cubs game two seasons ago
It depends on your seat location. Its a very nice view if you aren’t behind the pole!

That one should not be so bad.
It will be available when things calm down. You could have had my season tickets but I only have two.

speaking of Crane…………. will he be out when Ricketts takes over?
Hoepfully not.

What's the difference
One of the tickets I bought is in 224-2 and one is in 202-3. What’s the difference with the “-2” and “-3” on the end of the section numbers?
The 202-3 is toward the back row
Since it’s in left field, there is no overhang. Pretty good view.
224-2 is behind home plate up the first base line. Depending on what row, you may have a pole and some overhang.

it's been my experience that Friday bleachers sell out before Sunday bleachers
However, when you look at all the seats, I think Sunday games tend to sell out before Fridays.
I guess the family crowd outnumbers the playing hooky from work crowd.

That there are still partial season ticket plans that are grandfathered in that are Weekends and night games(like my package), so the available pool of tickets would be less for weekend games than for weekday games.

first wrigley field game
I have never had to do this before, because getting cubs reds tickets on reds.com are so easy to get. My sister along with 3 other people at her work were in the waiting room since 11 eastern. She was finally able to get on a get 4 tickets to the Diamondbacks game in October. I do not know where the tickets are at, but I have never been to Wrigley Field, (or Chicago for that matter) so I don’t really care where they are at.

Update on sellouts
The following games are COMPLETELY sold out as of 5 pm CST:
April: 13, 18
May: 16, 28, 30
June: 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21
July: 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 24, 25, 26
August: 15, 16, 29, 30
September: 2
The following games — read carefully, now — still have bleacher tickets AVAILABLE:
April: 15, 16, 19, 21, 22
May: 3, 4, 5, 12, 13, 14, 17, 26, 27
July: 6, 7, 8, 27, 28, 29
August: 11, 12, 13, 25, 26, 27, 31
September: 1, 2, 11, 13, 15, 16, 17, 29, 30
October: 1, 2, 3, 4
In both cases, this seems like less than last year. That’s 28 sellouts, and 40 games where bleachers are still available. Conclusion: the Cubs sold a lot of tickets again this year, but not quite as many as last year.

I don't think Sept 2
is a sellout especially if it still has bleacher tickets available. You must have confused it with another game.
