New Blog: Sounder At Heart for Seattle Sounders Fans!

For those of us lucky enough to get the MLB Network. They are doing a series called 30 clubs in 30 days in which they give in depth analysis on the teams. They interview players, managers, and GMs as well.

They will be doing the Cubs on March 10 at 5:30 ET. I know it's early so this is just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up.

I was wondering what day that would be. Do they repeat these at other times during those days?

Yes

Go ahead and DVR or Tivo it. The episodes air at least a few times other than the normal 6 p.m. CST time slot.

Who needs a stinkin' tag line? What are they for anyway?

DVR.

Much better idea. Thanks.

Al

Al any thought to having a permanent place somewhere people can post when they see a Cubs related thing on MLB TV coming up? (or anywhere else for that matter).

No.

This isn’t a message board where you have “sticky” notes, etc. When Cub related stuff is on MLB Network, I think it can have its own post, either a fanshot or fanpost.

Okay

Good idea.

I usually just miss something Cubs related.

On a related note I think Mitch Williams is good.

all-time rosters

i like the feature they’ve been having on this show with the all-time rosters for every team. who do you think would make the cubs team? here’s mine:

P – Mordecai Brown
C – Gabby Hartnett
1B – Frank Chance
2B – Ryne Sandberg
3B – Ron Santo
SS – Ernie Banks
LF – Billy Wiliams
CF – Hack Wilson
RF – Sammy Sosa

they also pick a few bench players, two right-handed pitchers, a lefty, and a closer, but i’m too lazy to figure those out. Grace, Maddux, Jenkins… obviously they’d be on there.

Thanks for posting.

I was thinking about this last night. March 10 it is.

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
