Newsflash Al.............
Sori K’s for second time….too bad he won’t have 4 at bats or this could be the first 4x strike outs of the year. What a great lead off hitter.

You can't expect miracles......

But.....
I think that will change when Fukudome falters

I think it will be more of a miracle if Hoff does great as an every day player than Fukudome.

i understand why he's got limitations
I just wish he had played the position more. I’d rather see him in the outfield more during ST, and if he starts at AAA, keep in the outfield, with an odd game at 1st.

Actually
Actually it might be a good move. With the right talent he probably will win a few games for them. They actually have a line, a running game and wrs that can catch the ball.
Most people who know the game seem to think this is a good move by the Patriots and good for Rex as well.
And it will avoid the karma Bears fans deserve of him beating us at least for one season.
The real Bear fans don’t deserve it. But the people that threw things, called in death threats and made him afraid to bring his wife to a Cubs game do.

I should clarify
I should clarify I think he is going to go on and do great elsewhere but he is doomed here.
A year in NE would be good. Play til Brady is ready and have a chance to show himself again in the NFL.
I am just glad Vikings decided to go with Sage Ronsenfels who is not good.

Honestly
Honestly I would like to know why it borders on racism? email me why so we don’t disrupt the board with a long discussion.

Maybe
Maybe the Sox are so dazed by the greatness of the Cubs especially Hoffpauir they all decided to retire!

Ozzie is doing an interview on the pitcher mound
there will only be a 30 minute break for a tirade
"I like coconuts, you can break them open and they smell like ladies lying in the sun" Widespread Panic
Probably a good thing there was no audio today
I can only imagine what Ozzie was yelling after the grand slam… ;-)
Lou Brown: "My kinda team, Charlie, my kinda team..."
what if we hit a second now?

Hooray!
Gameday just moved.

Two-run single for Blanco (Andres).
Bases juiced again for the third time in the inning.

The Cubs
The Cubs are beating on teams like they are rented stepchildren.

The Sox threatened to walk off the field if..........
Lou didn’t take Hoff out of the game….Lou relinquished

Looks like the only major leaguer left in this game is Jim Thome.

Thome
Thome is one of my all time favorite players. I ran into him downtown at the start of the 06 season and said “Welcome to Chicago. Glad to have you here and I’m a Cubs fan.” Shook his hand and got an autograph and told him I appreciate him as a player and wished he was a Cub.

It's not like we've ever seen a team go
4-0 in the preseason and then a perfect 0-16 afterwards…. :)

Kind of a general thought
Isn’t it nice to go into seasons now with real expectations of being a good to great team instead of saying 200 “ifs”

I have a feeling this is going to be a fun year
A good team just like last year, a weakened division, and we no longer have the cloud of avoiding the 100 year moniker since we’re already there.
