i understand why he's got limitations

I just wish he had played the position more. I’d rather see him in the outfield more during ST, and if he starts at AAA, keep in the outfield, with an odd game at 1st.

Actually it might be a good move. With the right talent he probably will win a few games for them. They actually have a line, a running game and wrs that can catch the ball.

Most people who know the game seem to think this is a good move by the Patriots and good for Rex as well.

And it will avoid the karma Bears fans deserve of him beating us at least for one season.

The real Bear fans don’t deserve it. But the people that threw things, called in death threats and made him afraid to bring his wife to a Cubs game do.

2 years ago he managed to do that quite well for all but 4 bad games in his first full year as a starter and won 2 playoff games.

Its just that i don’t think anyone would feel confident with Rex at the helm anymore. I thought he was great in 2006 and even bought his jersey. I can’t help but think what he could have been if some of the problems didn’t happen.

I should clarify I think he is going to go on and do great elsewhere but he is doomed here.

A year in NE would be good. Play til Brady is ready and have a chance to show himself again in the NFL.

Thome is one of my all time favorite players. I ran into him downtown at the start of the 06 season and said “Welcome to Chicago. Glad to have you here and I’m a Cubs fan.” Shook his hand and got an autograph and told him I appreciate him as a player and wished he was a Cub.
