Know your HOF's?
Here is a fun game. It takes 20 minutes. No studying before you start. I got 126. It is funny how your mind goes blank when the pressure is on.

Very fun
But you’re right, your mind goes blank. I only got 98.

Spelling counts there, or I would have had many more.

I’m glad I finally learned how to spell ‘Schoendienst.’

Wow, that's a freakin' hard quiz.
Fun, though. I got 112. Can’t believe I forgot recent players like Carlton, Perez and Puckett.

I can’t believe I forgot Hank Aaron and Cy Young. I couldn’t remember how to spell Schoendienist, Yaz, or Martin Dihigo. I admit I had an unfair advantage as I just finished reading an old coffee table book on the Hall last weekend.
This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.

Wow, and I thought I knew baseball.
88, plus 5 more due to spelling. I could not figure out why it would not accept Jimmy Foxx. “Jimmie”. There’s your answer. It’s the lesser knowns from the first half of the 20th century, and the Negro Leaguers, except for Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, and Cool Papa Bell that got me.

Hint.
You don’t have to type in first names. If you had just typed “Foxx” the page would have accepted it.

true
which I found to be helpful but kinda cheating, since you can type names like Johnson, Jackson, WIlliams that are a little more common than Tinkers, Evers, Chance and it will fill in multiple spots.

True enough...
… but there aren’t that many of them.
And I completely forgot “Jackson”.

When it got down to the 2 minute warning, and I was pretty much tapped out...
…I typed in Santo and Rose just for kicks. Nothing.
Oh well, then I went back to trying umpteen different variations of Yastrzemski and Schoendienst…
