Around SBN: Jeremy Lin And How The Pac-12 Missed Him

Opening Week Of baseball

I am excited that I will see the Cubs opener in Houston in Section 110 row 17, but to add to the opening weel festives, I  will finish the week with four games in Round Rock (Thursday thru Sunday) seeing the Iowa Cubs open vs. Houstons AAA affialiate, the Round Rock Express.

Now I my curiosity has been raised as to who will not make the cut that I will get to watch playing for Iowa.

Will I need to bring a life size cutout of EA for Hoffpauir to the game?  Will Koyie be there as well, or will he play Bako out of a spot?  And will Spellcheck get the nod to open the iCubs season?

God Damn I am excited for Baseball to be back!

And again, THANKS AL for allowing us to enjoy the opportunity to talk some baseball with fellow baseball and Cub addicts here at BCB.

I’d bet on Hoff and Shark to be there. Hopefully, Bako gets the boot.

Hopefully, Bako gets the boot.

I am with you there. Shark will be there starting to get ready to make a run for the rotation later this season IMO. Hoff is a crap shoot, he could be in either depending on so many different things

It's a pretty easy campaign to run I'm guessing

If Corey Koskie makes a good showing once he starts playing...

… I’d expect Hoffpauir to be headed to Iowa.

Samardzija is probably headed there anyway, to start.

Seriously, if Hoff does make the cut...

…get a BIG piece of posterboard, blow up a picture of her and bring it to the game. I can’t guarantee you’ll make it on TV, but if you do, and someone gets a screen cap, you’ll be immortalized on BCB. Much the same way SWL was immortalized in his Howry shirt last season.

At the very least...

…. you’d get Len & Bob talking about why there’s a huge photo of Erin Andrews at a Cubs/Astros game.

Len: Wow, look at that guy with that pic of Erin Andrews!
Bob: Yeah!
Len: I wonder if his wife told him she was ok with it.
Bob: You know how it goes. Yes, dear. No, dear. You’re right, dear. Hey, remember when I was managing in the world series…

:P :P :P :P

ugh

This is why I hate Bob Brenly. Get some new material already. Oh and we know you were a catcher and have won a World Series.

Why didn’t you have to get me going Drew?

sorry. I love Bob Brenly, but some of his routines are repetitive.

Have you seen the

Cubs ad on WGN with Len & Bob. Len is singing TMOTTBG and Bob is playing his guitar at their fund raiser they have in the off season. I think it’s pretty cool.

Yeah, that would work.

Or just a Cubs jersey in general. Maybe over the picture you could have the words “Erin gives him his” and then under the picture in huge letters “HOFF-POWER!!!”

…there is never a bad time to bring a EA life size cutout to a game. Hoffpauir or no Hoffpauir. See ya Shawn-o-meter, hello Erin-o-meter.
