Your best Cubs gift?
I had a very Cubs Christmas this year, getting a new hat, t-shirt and Santo jersy. But the best part was the cornhole (or bags, whatever you want to call it) game that my dad made. 1/2" plywood with several coats of poly, folding legs, the two pieces nest into each other and lock in place for easy transport. I love it, it's the best Cubs gift I've ever gotten.
Which, of course, made me wonder, what's the best one you've gotten?

playing cornhole aka bags
here’s a online version. You’re supposed to be 21 years or older to enter the site (probably because it’s sponsored by a beer company).

Cubs hat.
My grandfather gave it to me before he passed. I was around 8 or 9. I was a Cubs fan then, but only because my dad and his dad were from Gary, Indiana, and were fans. One of the last things my grandfather ever said to me was: “I never saw the Cubbies win it all. You have to.” That was enough. I was set for life. Now the hat hangs in my home, and every time I visit a new stadium, I buy a team pin. The hat is littered with pins now and is my favorite Cubs’ item.

I have a Cubs neon sign that I got many years ago.
It’s been put away for a while. Maybe it’s time to take it out of storage and put it on display again.

A black-and-white photo of Ryno at the bat...
…taken from the upper deck by my sister, who then hand-colored it. Has a beautiful, soft retro look to it; somehow more “real” feeling than an actual color photo would be.

Mentioned before but
My high school. graduation present: One share of CHICAGO NATIONAL LEAGUE BALL CLUB. Wrigley owned over 90 % but there were around 1,000 shares out there that had basically been given to employees and through a connection my parents got one. Alas the “real” stockholders meetings were in Delaware where it was incorporated for tax reasons but they did have one in Chicago where I once got to go after Bob Kennedy. Forced to sell a few years later when Trib bought them but got to keep the stock certificate which is framed. Maybe when I get more skills I can take a photo and post it. Special thanks to Mom & Dad who knew I did want a car ( well I don’t drive), stereo, trip to California etc. That really was the perfect gift.
PS it was around $1,000 but got $2300 when they sold not bad for I think 3 plus years.

That is the coolest gift.
Does it look like this:

I went looking and I think it is in the top of my closet so can't get it.
It does not say COMMON on it that much I know. I also have a letter from the C& C company re the final payment. It was so cool to
go to meetings and go after Kennedy ( Plus they gave you some leftovers from park giveaways like notebooks)

Yes my parents were the best.
It was NOT easy to get. I promise I will take a photo and post it one of these days ( It is framed so I can’t scan it)

I have
a cubs watch, a cubs commemorative opening day at Wrigley painted baseball, a little Wrigley field model that has a clock that tells the time twice a day, a blue Wood jersey, a pinstriped FUKUDOME jersey, but the thing I use/wear the most is a pair of Cubs sleep pants. The cubs hat and BCB shirt, I bought for myself.

For my college graduation...
My g/f bought me the entire Orioles/Cubs series last year. I saw my first win at Wrigley last year (0-6 prior, 1-8 now) She also somehow stole all of my ticket stubs and put them in a scrapbook (seperating the wins and losses). The scrapbook had all kinds of pics of us at different stadiums and pics with different Cubs (past and present).
I could just tell that it took a lot of time and effort. Plus, I saw my first win in Chicago.

For Christmas this past year
my mom made me a pair of pillowcases and a swank blanket. I’ll see if I can get a pic when I get home tonight and post it tomorrow.

A seat from Wrigley
My mom bought one for my step-dad back when they were renovating and putting in the lights. When I moved into my house last year, he gave it to me as a housewarming gift.

Mural of Wrigley painted on the back of our basement wall.
Mother-in-law paid an interior painter for this when we bought our house in 2003 and were in the process of finishing the basement.
