Actually the Cubs first tried to get their insurance company to pay for it
Cubs used the argument that new sod would cut down on injuries and as a result, fewer claims would be filed. Insurance company was not convinced. Besides, they pointed out that the Cubs’ insurance policy doesn’t cover…
(wait for it – it’s good… By that, of course, I mean it’s bad…)
