Sully's Cubs "All Time Home Grown Team vs. All Time Acquired Team" Part II
I recently authored a fanpost asking BCB readers to submit their suggestions for the "All Time Home Grown Team vs. All Time Acquired Team" Cubs Team to compare to the project by the same name on which Paul Sullivan of Sully Baseball has been working. The post received a few entries (mine NOT included due to lack of enough hours to thoroughly research). Paul "not the beat writer" Sullivan's picks were similar to Al's, especially the "home-grown" team.
Well, the long-awaited "All Time Home Grown Team vs. All Time Acquired Team" Cubs Team is complete. Actually, it's been complete for a week but I missed the link.
Enjoy Sully's take on his All-Time Home and Acquired Cubs Teams. Keep in mind that this is one man's opinion. You may have your own, so comment away.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Thanks for the link
And keep in mind, I’ll make changes to the list if I see I’ve made a big mistake.

Ryan Dempster
I’ve gotten some flack already for including Ryan Dempster and not including Rod Beck.
I am going to make that change…

This is YOUR list....go with your gut
Personally, I had Beck and Dempster but not Borowski.

although Beck was only a Cub for a season and a half
what a season he had!

very true
“The Shooter” was money as a Cub, and what an over acheiving team we were during his time here

looking it over
Looking it over and keeping in mind Beck came into a pressure 9th inning of the one game playoff against his old team and got Kent and Joe Carter out to clinch the one game playoff…
And WASN’T used in the only Division Series game the Cubs had a shot in (Game 2)…
And the fact that he kicks ass…
I put Beck in.
Got to include Borowski.
Only three pitchers have ever clinched a post season series for the Cubs. Got to include the guy
