Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

For those of you who are following the career of our old friend Matt Murton, I thought I'd post this nice article from the Arizona Daily Star. I'm pulling for him to do well for them.

I wish Matt the best as well

I understood why he didn’t get the opportunity here (not a RF) but I always thought, with the right situation, he could be a capable starter. Now, I’m not sure Colorado is a great situation for him considering their system and depth charts (a lot of positional pieces everywhere), but here’s hoping he does well.

+1

ALways liked the Red Head, and he was a good soldier (never complained, etc) and when called upon gave 100%.

I wish Murton the best, too.

I hope playing at Coors Field helps him finally develop some power. Otherwise, his skill set still seems prohibitively limited.

Sorry but everybody knows

Murton is NOT a major league baseball player. A certain party told us so and it must be true.

I hope to see his royal orangeness in Tucson Saturday.

Hey Jessica

You should find that quote, start a ridiculous FanPost, and argue that facts and statistics are objective.

Well it would easy to find

Considering that party must have said hundreds of times. Anyway I don’t need no damed statistics because I played baseball
in 7th grade (well OK I didn’t play but I was the scorekeeper so I know just as much).

He went 0-for-4 today hitting cleanup.

But, I guess he still has a good shot at a starting position.

I love Murton

but he is NOT a cleanup hitter. Maybe the Rockies were just having some fun with Lou batting him cleanup.

The Rockies didn't bring a lot of their regulars up from Tucson.

My bold Murton prediction

No matter how he plays all season (good or bad), with Cubs luck, he’ll have a career day when we play Rockies. We’ve seen this happen more times than not.

We won't have to wait too long to find out...

… since they’ll be in Chicago for the Cubs’ home opener.

I LOVE MURTON

and I miss him. Say what you will, he was my favorite Cub when he was here and I was sad to see him to last year (but of course, I think it was a good trade). All the best to Matt.
