Fantasy Baseball League Question
Hello,
I am desparately trying to organize a fantasy baseball league, as the one I planned to use did not work out. The group I have together is pretty amateur, and so I am not so sure about doing a live draft. What other options there (more specifically, what do these different drafts mean?). There arte so many sites out there-MLB, CBS, FOX, etc. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which site to use. As you can see, I am new to this, and thought that I would give it a shot this season.
Thanks for any input

I prefer
yahoo
I didn't get the players I wanted in the offseason!! Hopefully I get what I want in the Regular Season---The World Series Trophy!! Go Cubbies!!
ESPN
ESPN is pretty easy to use. You can do a live draft on the computer instead of in person.
Either of the above would work fine.
I’ve been in Yahoo leagues the last couple of years, trying an ESPN league this year for the first time.
Both handle drafts and stats pretty well.

Well, the options are...
There are many options for fantasy leagues. A live draft usually gets you a better team because the other option is an auto draft. What you would do in that case is before the draft, pre-rank your players in an order of preference. ARod first, Pujols second, etc, etc. Then when your league would draft the computer would automatically pick the first person at the top of your list that’s available.
Yahoo! and ESPN are pretty standard though I really don’t think you can go wrong either way.
My problem with Yahoo
is that they charge you for live scoring, whereas it’s free on ESPN.
I’m also in a league on CBS Sportsline this season. I’d definitely recommend it for serious leagues for its comprehensiveness and customizable features, but I’d go with ESPN for more fun leagues because ESPN has friendlier graphics and easier user interface.
Yep that's the huge difference.
Save your ten bucks and go with ESPN. They are essentially the same. If anything ESPN looks better than Yahoo.
What I don’t get is why ESPN is still charging for their insider feature, especially when they offer stat tracker for free.

I ended up going with ESPN
I am very impressed with how smooth it is, along with nice graphics and very clean overall presentation.
