OT ticket question

If we ordered single game tickets by phone when they went on sale, when can we expect to receive them in the mail? Thanx for the help.

I'm surprised you don't have them by now.

But, part of it depends on what dates you ordered. If you ordered tickets for, say, an August or September game, they might wait a little longer. Call tickets.com customer service and ask.

I recieved my tickets for 4/18 (first) and 5/2 (a week later), but not for 9/12, if that helps.

Go Green! Go White! GO STATE! Every 4 year player in Tom Izzo's MSU basketball program has gone to a Final Four. 'Nuf said Coach K. (I'm now only #12,966 on the Cubs season ticket waiting list- UP from 13,031...WHOO HOO!)

Snow in Chi-town? no way

I’m sad to see that white stuff on the ground. I used to live in IL (Zion) and miss the weather, lmao I live in MN where we have the Metrodome and the Twins. This is our last year for Indoor baseball (thank God). It’s supposed to snow here Monday-Wednesday. I hope the MLB officials will schedule the Twins first month In California, Florida & Texas.

I wish MLB mandated

any “snow city” have a retractable roof when building a new stadium. It is not fun watching or playing baseball when it is in the mid 30’s or 40’s in April, not to mention how Winter weather and creating scheduling problems.

I think Miller Park is perfect. I hate domes but a place like Milwaukee and Minnesota needs to have the option of a roof.

I'm finally moving on...

You pay for it

Everyone agrees MN needs a retractable roof, but no one is willing to pay for it. So essentially, for the next 30 years or so, Twins games in April and October are going to be cold.

If MLB had mandated that the Twins had to have a retractable roof, the Twins would still be playing in the Metrodome next season—or in North Carolina or Portland OR.

by Josh Timmers on Mar 30, 2009 11:53 AM CDT up reply actions

I read that a roof...

…would have added more than $100M to the already expensive project. Nonetheless, something tells me the Twins will regret this move — as will the poor teams scheduled to visit MIN the first month of the season.

I wonder if their stadium has been designed to where a roof could be added later?

So they're going to spend over $500 million on a new park...

… and they couldn’t spend another $100 million on a retractable roof? Target’s paying for the naming rights, they could have asked Target to defray that cost over, say, 20 years.

They’ll lose way more than $100 million over the life of the park to bad weather.

No roof also limits the park's usage.

I’d think a roof would let the Twins host offseason events like concerts, etc. According to this article, the total price tag is $412M — kind of low when you consider Washington’s park topped $600M, Yankee Stadium $1.6B, and Citi Field $800M.

All valid points,

but if you going to do it, do it right. Instead they will regret forever that they don’t have a roof. I wouldn’t be surprised if in 20 years not having a roof will be why they want another stadium or end up moving.

On so many thing’s MLB and the commissioner are short sighted.

I'm finally moving on...

Snow

Remember in 97 when they opened in Florida to give an extra week for weather?

It was 70 and sunny the day they opened in Florida. A week later it was 33 for the home opener.

There's no news.

He was taken out as a precaution. He said that he’s fine.
