Reed Johnson IS Mark DeRosa: MLB 09 The Show

No source and no quote as this comes straight from my playing as the cubs in MLB 09 The Show. I didn't think this was worth a FanPost, but whenever i pinch hit with Reed Johnson, the announcer awkwardly proclaims that "Mark DeRosa" is coming off the bench to hit. It really just makes me miss Mark Derosa...can anyone else attest to this happening? It is only when you bring RJ in to pinch hit, not for defense or if he is starting. gratzi

Just got it last night, I’ll try it tonight and let you know. This is the PS3 version correct??

Same thing in my game

noticed it the first day i got the game when the announcers said the Mark Derosa was on deck, and it was really Reed Johnson. Did you notice at all that the Cubs cannot hit for Sh** in the game? I think the show is hating on the 09 Cubbies.

hitting takes some getting used to

but if you can guess right on a pitch you’ll smoke it – bradley hit two HRs in one game for me via “guess the pitch” whereas he hadn’t hit any before I started trying it out

Speaking of Reed Johnson...

…. he’s starting a blog. Nothing on it yet, but watch for it coming soon.

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
