Despite Z's tough start

The SP this season has been more than fine. The offense on the other hand has had in my opinion one good performance and so far 3 1/3 clunker games. I still think it might be interesting at some point to experiment with Soto in the 3 hole and DLee way, way down in the order. The guy is just not a #3 anymore.

That we traded Z’s crappy opening day start to his second game this season. Which in the long run should be just fine.

Who would you rather

see in the 3 spot? I’m thinking Bradley with Lee 5 and Rammy 4.

ROBODOME!!!!!!!!!!

hey...

another solo HR from the Cubbies. That said, Fukudome is proving a lot of folks (including myself) wrong so far.

by BeltwayCubsFan on Apr 11, 2009 7:03 PM CDT reply actions

Ya think....

Lou ever thought about moving the Riot to 2 spot and everyone else down a slot? The Cubs have a hack batting before Dome

The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano

I am late to here

But been watching all the game. Kick ass Fukudome!!!!!!!!

Hooray

But homeruns are just so anticlimatic now that I don’t live in the Cubs television market

Time to jump

to the other side

or maybe we shouldn’t….Fukudome HR

Lee almost hits one out, but into the glove of Hart

At least he made good contact..

Good time for me

To show up. I was gonna mention Z’s absurdly high pitch count but forgetaboutit

by Sam Householder on Apr 11, 2009 7:04 PM CDT reply actions

Now watching him

Dome has a better approach to the plate. Instead of taking those first pitch fastballs like he was last season he is doing something with them. Now when the league adjusts by throwing first pitch breaking balls it will be up to Dome to adjust.

6-4-3 Lee...

Is one at bat from falling below .100

The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano

by CaliCub on Apr 11, 2009 7:07 PM CDT reply actions

Yea...

They arre up there hacking…..no plate discipline…..solo homers and letting the opposing starter run at about a 103 pitch pace is NOT good hitting…..

Welcome back!

And I agree, hopefully he can keep this up through the whole year.

Before each game, please remember to feed the bats.
