I'll be impressed if DP Lee can get a ball out of the infield tonight
"I always tell the truth -- Even when I lie"
If Derek continues
to struggle like this for another 30-45 days, fan and writer pressure will help Lou make a decision to move him down. He is just letting too many scoring chances go by.
Well - if you caught it
that inning he referred to Fontenot as a rh hitter!
Morgan
I’m not a big fan as I’ve said before but has he really said anything that offensive thus far that people are wanting to slap their TV? He had a reasonable point of view about the Cubs 3-4-5 hitters w/ Lee and Ramirez and batting two righties in a row. I don’t agree with him but at least he shows a basic understanding of a team that he doesn’t cover regularly.
I think people just like to bitch about him.
I agree with this, so far he has been decent. I just cannot like him for the long list of terrible statements he has made in the past
Mine goes to 11
I concur, but
you should know the personnel you are referring to, right?
I agree...
… but half the comments thus far have been about how awful Morgan has been during the broadcast. He’s been fine. I understand why people have an issue with him and I do as well, but c’mon. He’s been fine tonight.

So much of the benefit of RLR is lost. Managers are not going to bring in a lefty for Bradley so I don’t see the benefit of splitting Lee and Rami with Bradley.

For sure of the game
That could wind up being the difference in this one. Brewers are getting to dempster this inning
I saw his catch last year against the Nats in person
and thought that was the best catch I’ve ever seen. Johnson might have just outdone that one. My mouth is on the floor.
classy move by prince with the tip of the helmet
don’t see that often
yeah that was cool

Credit to the Brewers
….90% of the time you would have had a easy double play at some place on the basepath
we still need to get to Kevin Gregg
That’s 2-3 innings of some bullpen tool we have to throw out there
Bradley would not have gotten that
he would have come back down with an injury

Is Gregg still the closer

what were the cubs bullpen guys looking at?
It looked like they were all staring at the wall to the side.
the phone?
Wondering who was going to get the call to come into a tie ball game and pitch when Lou was pissed?
Actually...nevermind
Its Jorge Julio….he was probably trying a curveball low and away and the pitch ended up there. He sucks.
yeah he meant to hit him

How many more times is Lou going to let Ramirez
lollygag it up the first base line? This drives me CRAZY. As we can see when other guys hit the ball and hustle, hustling often causes the opposition to act in haste and screw up, leading to a base runner when we might not have had one. Pat Hughes, who rarely criticizes Cubs players, has commented pointedly each time tonight when Ramirez has jogged up the first base line.
RUN, RAMIREZ, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pirates
So its got so bad in Pittsburgh that they can’t even afford to hold on to the likes of Chris Duffy?
Theriot looks like
he has greasy hair

Two runs
Can we keep em held to that with the parade of clowns ready to enter the game?
Why didn't Lou double switch when he put Marshall in?
Now… Marshall’s done after one sold inning of work… and we have to use Marmol again.

I just mute the TV whenever I hear Captain Moron.
I happen to like listening to Jon Miller most of the time.
Joe Morgan "Third baseman didn't slide to grab the ball in the past, that's new to the game"
Ron Santo & Brooks Robinson did that shit back in the 60s
Nettles & Brett in the 80s
whatever Joe

There should be a weekly "Joe Morgan... who you crappin?" segment
