Morgan

I’m not a big fan as I’ve said before but has he really said anything that offensive thus far that people are wanting to slap their TV? He had a reasonable point of view about the Cubs 3-4-5 hitters w/ Lee and Ramirez and batting two righties in a row. I don’t agree with him but at least he shows a basic understanding of a team that he doesn’t cover regularly.

I think people just like to bitch about him.

So much of the benefit of RLR is lost. Managers are not going to bring in a lefty for Bradley so I don’t see the benefit of splitting Lee and Rami with Bradley.

I wish

I wish someone would tell Joe Morgan directly to his face that he speaks nothing but unintelligible, unnecessary, unrelated, and untrue goobledegook.

I think that might be why Steve Phillips is in the booth this year.

Midget Head

Yard… 5-2…still in Kevin Gregg territory…. get more runs next inning please.

dinger for Corey Hart

now fortified with meaninglessness since it was a solo shot. Demp’s at least throwing more strikes.

by northernsails on Apr 12, 2009 8:45 PM CDT reply actions

He's starting to settle down

Dempster is starting to settle in, getting in a rythm. Starting to look good. And yet more meaningless dribble from morgan about how in his lineup his pitcher always hits ninth

by Gleebo on Apr 12, 2009 8:47 PM CDT reply actions

Joe Morgan just got pwned by his own boothmate

Jon Miller, thank you for twisting that bozo’s words into something he has to choke on.

by northernsails on Apr 12, 2009 8:48 PM CDT reply actions

I love the fact that Steve Phillips was taking him to task about the Soriano having to bat leadoff issue. Whether you agree with one or the other its good to see someone at least make him back up his stupidity.

by Gleebo on Apr 12, 2009 8:50 PM CDT up reply actions

After all these years

How is Jon Miller not committed to some mental institute having to listen to this “expert”

by Gleebo on Apr 12, 2009 8:48 PM CDT reply actions

Have you seen his shirt and tie?

That has to be a sign of mental illness….no sane man wouild wear that color shirt!

Seems quiet lately. Someone do not be tempted to put a quarter in this guy again

by Gleebo on Apr 12, 2009 9:20 PM CDT up reply actions

How many more times is Lou going to let Ramirez

lollygag it up the first base line? This drives me CRAZY. As we can see when other guys hit the ball and hustle, hustling often causes the opposition to act in haste and screw up, leading to a base runner when we might not have had one. Pat Hughes, who rarely criticizes Cubs players, has commented pointedly each time tonight when Ramirez has jogged up the first base line.

RUN, RAMIREZ, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why didn't Lou double switch when he put Marshall in?

Now… Marshall’s done after one sold inning of work… and we have to use Marmol again.
