Its not just Miles, folks. This entire team is crapping all over themselves in RBI situations. Their numbers with runners in scoring position just plain sucks and they are not scoring runs unless the opponent is walking them in.

Folks need to step off the ledge already

We’re seven games in…If we’re in August or September, and we’re only a couple games up, or worse, a couple games behind, then bring crap like this up, otherwise, save it. Just support your team. All of this talk about Miles, and how we’re scoring runs, ranks up there with talk about curses for me. It just needs to stop.

by Craig in South Bend on Apr 13, 2009 3:41 PM CDT up reply actions

go away

You don’t want to read the other side of the coin thats fine. But this is a blog and its an open forum and if you can’t take people pointing out concerns in both losses and wins, then move on and read other posts.

by dmlichte on Apr 13, 2009 3:43 PM CDT up reply actions

Well gee

It’s a little tough to do that in a game discussion thread when it’s constantly flooded with this nonsense. If it wasn’t nonsense, then you wouldn’t have nearly everyone else pointing out that we’re *7 games in*. You tell me how that’s any different than the ESPN announcing you complain about when they drone on about curses and the like. That’s a concern too, but it doesn’t make the repeating of it any easier to read, or hear.

by Craig in South Bend on Apr 13, 2009 3:47 PM CDT up reply actions

what

Does espn announcers have anything to do with this?

I’m not on a ledge, I’m pointing out a concern. I am not going to tell you not to bury your head in the sand so don’t tell me not to raise my concerns with the team.

by dmlichte on Apr 13, 2009 3:48 PM CDT up reply actions

Well, just ones that have been repeated ad nauseum

But, what’s the point in that? We get it. Again, if this goes on for much longer, than sure, I’d say there’s something to be concerned about, but the sample size is so small right now, that it’s tough to call this a microcosm of how their season is going to play out when we’re a handful of games in.
