The no-logic computer-based scheduling system strikes again! But, this time, it works in the Cubs favor:)
The Cardinals opened the season at home last week, and hit the road last night... when they flew out west to Arizona for one friggin series. The Cards play the DBs tonight, tomorrow night, and then on Wednesday afternoon.
After Wednesday's day game, they'll rush to the airport and take a 3 1/2 hour flight back to the Midwest, lose 2 hours in the time difference, arrive at the hotel at sometime past 11pm or so, and have to wake up early to take BP, for a 1:20 start on Thursday afternoon.
Thursday's match-up: a tired Cardinal squad with their ace, Adam Wainright, on the hill vs our #5, Sean Marshall. Couldn't have worked out any better for us.
I don't know why in the world Bud Selig scrapped the old scheduling system in favor of one that doesn't work... but, at least it works in our favor for once.
