Around SBN: MLB Trade Deadline: Phils, Astros complete Roy Oswalt deal

I stumbled across this Firefox add on earlier today. It turns your Firefox browser into a Cub-themed one. It's not perfect. I find the bookmark panels to be a bit jarring on the eyes for example, but as Cub fan I find it kind of cool. Hopefully it'll be tweeked a bit by the add on creator.

I don't know

I found the ivy a bit much. Maybe over time I’ll get used to it.

Am I the only one who finds these tacky

And ugly, no matter how large a fan you are? On the other hand, I do like the laptop skins.

VERY difficult to read

Good stuff.

How do i change it back

I am not sure if I like it? Am I stuck forever with this?

I love watching the Cubs during the season and dread watching them in the playoffs.

I don't think so.

If it’s like other Firefox add ons, it should be removable. Go into the tools menu and there should be an “add-on” selection. From there you should be able to uninstall it.

by madmf on Apr 14, 2009 8:18 PM CDT up reply actions

Yep, I checked it out.

You go to the “add-ons” section in the Tools menu. Then select the “Themes” tab. From there you can uninstall it completely or go back to the default without the uninstall.

Thanks madmf

It can be easily uninstalled. I share this with others and it may be annoying to those folks.

Unfortunately

It doesn’t work for Macs.

Macs are cool enough already.

We don’t need no stinkin’ add-ons.

I was going to say that this post has FAIL written all over it

I mean, considering this is a ‘recommended’ fanshot and all. But thought I would leave the PC users alone, they have suffered enough already.

But you are right, we don’t need no stinkin’ add-ons.

Tried it and uninstalled it a minute later. Couldn’t see most of the menu, icons and pull downs. The theme is a good idea but not practical when it blocks out most of the tool bars.

OT: Baseball alive at old Tiger Stadium site
I have to admit, i didn't expect this to work, and i generally don't condone ratting somebody out, but i think Woo Woo inspires special circumstances.

He was a few rows above me and a group of maybe a hundred other University of Iowa alumni last night, and started right in with the wooing early and loud. Between innings, he was... how shall i say this... creeping around? We all know his reputation.

Within 10 minutes of making a complaint to the Cubs text line, he was gone. Might be worth trying in future instances.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality... just got a new phone (HTC EVO) and am not sure how to take screen caps yet.
