Where do ya live in Madison?
I lived in Sellery, Lake street (immediately next to the union), and in La Ciel off University for 2 years. Once I’m done here with my PhD I hope to get a job back @ UW.

Yeah, it was being built when I was there. The StateSider used to be...
…THE OP – Open Pantry, which was just about the greatest late-night convenience store you could find. Greasy food to slushies to a mini-Walgreens. What happened to ZBT? I used to live in 250 Langdon, and SAE, which is no longer, I believe.

It’s my most favorite place in the entire world. It’s a very special town and college.

Same.
ZBT moved to a different house just down the street. I don’t know how long McTaggert’s has been around but they’re pretty much like the OP you’re describing, except instead of greasy food they have a nice deli. There’s plenty of greasy food to be found around Madison late at night anyway.
I think it was SAE that got absolutely boned by tickets from a party they had that got busted. That may have been their downfall. Not 100% sure if it was them though, but I think it was.

McTaggert’s was just adding on and building the deli when I graduated (2005). SAE got busted from some Halloween party and had $80k+ in fines. I used to be president of my class there, it was a hellhole. Great location, horrible, horrible house.
