My goal once again

is to exceed 1,000 votes.

Sweet Lou for Mayor in '11.

Nice.

That’d take, what, 40 e-mail addresses?

by znohitter on Apr 22, 2009 3:05 PM CDT up reply actions

Does it always start this early?

Somehow I never noticed.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

I'll repeat my goal in here

Lets make InBev Stadium welcome 8 Cubs starters to the team.

Theriot as starting SS would be superb.

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

we do want home field after all for the WS

I just clicked randomly

Odds are I picked a crap team. I maxed out my first 25 votes. I’ll have to vote on another email later. ALL CUBS IN 09.

An assortment of Twins and A's

But that’s a good point—don’t leave the AL ballot empty! Vote for players you’ve never heard of.

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

what

no Royals?

They're playing good ball now

and I don’t have the cojones to vote for any Sux players.

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

by chilango2 on Apr 22, 2009 3:41 PM CDT up reply actions

someone needs to put together a horrific AL team for us to all vote for

such as Ronny Cedeno and Felix Pie starting maybe?

baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

by Cubbie-Tim on Apr 22, 2009 3:45 PM CDT up reply actions

I wouldn't put any Ex-Cubs on the list

the Ex-Cub factor is too cunning.

+1K

I’ll look for Angel Berroa-like starters. They need to be listed on the ballot, right?

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

by chilango2 on Apr 22, 2009 3:48 PM CDT up reply actions

Here's what I believe would work best

1B: J. Giambi
2B: A. Casilla
3B: (Tough choice—I wanna vote for DeRo because of my filthy, enduring mancrush, but the Sux 3B is the red-head stepchild of the lot) J. Fields
C: R. Barajas
OF: L. Scott, N. Cruz, B. Gardner.
Write-in: your choice.

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

Crud

I forgot a SS. Nick Punto? Maybe Jed Lowrie since he’s injured and will come back shortly before the game?

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

I'll be writing a fanpost about that soon . . . .

So stupid.

It’s April 22nd and we’re supposed to start voting for the All Stars, which are supposed to be the best players at each position, right? So, after a dozen games we’re supposed to know who is the best?

This just irks me every year.

But with that said, I’ll begin stuffing the ballot to get as many Cubs starting at Busch as possible.

by kanderber on Apr 22, 2009 3:55 PM CDT reply actions

Remember, this time it counts!

So go easy with the votes for Lee and Fukudome, mmm-kay?

by Jerry Mumphrey on Apr 22, 2009 4:07 PM CDT reply actions

because...

why, exactly?

Definitely a good idea to pick a poor AL team

We should try to get all the NL SB Nation sites to vote for a set AL team.

yeah, that's what the post is about

I tried last year, but didn’t pick players. This time I did.
