How much does having no run support on a given day affect a pitcher do you think?

I mean they must feel it a little….the pressure not to make a mistake……but they are supposed to be able to deal with it right? Not that Z has looked all frazzled though…..nor that Lilly let it blow up in his face……just wondering.
