against shitty pitchers and Cotts is the shittiest that we have.
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
Beyond the frustration with Cotts, there is another story here
Joey Votto is good.
Derrek Lee is good.
BTW, just so you all realize that error buy Hoffpauir was Lee's fault...
…for hogging 1B, the easiest position on the diamond. If we’d have benched Lee for the Hoff you’d be seeing a real outfielder chasing down balls in right.
okay first it's BY
unless Hoff bought the error. Secondly, Lou played him. Lee isn’t HOGGING first, he’s going out there when his name is put on the lineup card
Men write many fine and plausible arguments in support of monarchy, but the fact remains that where every man in a state has a vote, brutal laws are impossible.
Why should the Hoff have to learn two positions? Is Lee too old?
I’m sure Lee could get buy in the OF just as well.

Sometime too hot the eye of Hoffpauir shines,

But thy eternal Wrigley shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that ticket thou owest;

Oriole by nurture. Cub by marriage.
it is?
Z gave up more than one run. How does he not take the loss?

Comparatively speaking
I’m still annoyed about trading for Gregg and letting Wood walk.

As much as I love Kerry Wood, I'm okay
with letting him go. Great pitcher, good closer, too much $$$.
I’m not sure I understand getting Gregg. He’s mediocre and this team needs a great closer.
if this was still new to me, i wouldn't understand
One-year deal
Wood was willing to accept one.

That’s become an urban legend.

Patience would be nice
I know its the bottom of the ninth, but one swing wont do it.

Bradley?
Coming in late….why isn’t Bradley playing? Is he serving his suspension?

He's still standing in line to cash his gamecheck from yesterday.

Early payoff
His signing has literally vaulted the Cubs so far! What are you talking about?

Maybe you could complain about something else? There's a lot to choose from.

I'm sorry, did our last three batters see 4 pitches?
Four?

we'll
get them next time. If the worst thing we do this season is lose a game to Cueto and then one to Harang, we’ll be ok.
