So I would say the WBC had no effect on Kosuke.....

I am so glad to see him hitting like we thought he would!

Maybe I should

miss more games. Sounds like Dome had a great game. I had hoped he would rebound this season.

Hate to hear about Derrek and hopefully he won’t be out long at all.

Aw thanks.

I was watching the Bulls. The Hawks win last ngiht and the Bulls this afternoon and now the Cubs should win this on. It’s a good day.

Yes, sue. No more games for you until this streak stops.

if he hadn’t done that, then he could be placed on the DL retroactively to an earlier date (and come back sooner), but as of right now, it can only go back to April 25.

Nice way to break out of it

Bats came alive today, pitching was solid up and down the line. (Well, Cotts wasn’t particularly impressive, but …)

Now they have to focus on getting healthy and playing well in Arizona, a place where they often struggle. But the Diamondbacks are not in good shape right now.

Late night tomorrow — always love West Coast games. Baseball at 9 p.m.? Awesome.

by Not Bruce Froemming on Apr 26, 2009 4:15 PM CDT reply actions

It'll be tough

Arizona is a tough place for the Cubs, and the Marlins always have been hard on them. Plus that’s a four-game series. But if the starting pitching holds, I think they’ll be fine.

by Not Bruce Froemming on Apr 26, 2009 4:20 PM CDT up reply actions

the marlins

have been reeling this year. And Arizona isn’t the team we faced two years ago.

by drewishdrewid on Apr 26, 2009 4:21 PM CDT up reply actions

Oh, absolutely

The Marlins have cooled considerably. And the Diamondbacks aren’t what they once were. If they can do well against both of them, especially in that house of horrors in Phoenix, it might augur well. And you’ve got to figure at least Marmol, Ramirez and Lee will be back at some point in that stretch.
