Hey, he couldn't do much worse than Cotts as the lefty in the pen. Here are his career stats.

Fossum's career ERA is a run higher than Neal Cotts'.

No thanks.

Armchair GM thread

Al, any thoughts on creating an everlasting archair GM thread? People can put their ideas on there as opposed to 5 fanposts/fanshots after every loss? Perhaps when it gets to 300 posts a new one gets created?

LOL

Overflow armchair GM threads. I can just see it now. Lemme think about this.

And this one was posted after a WIN.

I know it was created after a win

I almost wanted to make a fanshot stating the fact that we should have one positive post on there but I wanted to avoid -1 replies :)

baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

Why not wait for Alan Embree?

He’s bound to be on waivers at some point this year. It’s tradition.

I like mlbtraderumors, too.

That doesn’t mean we should start throwing up Fanshots about every guy who gets DFA’d.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.
