Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack,
I don’t care if I never get back,
Cause it’s root, root, root for the CUBBIES
If they don’t win it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,

Debatable.

Soriano’s UZR/150:

LF: 8.6
OF: 8.9

Bradley’s UZR/150:

RF: 15.8
OF: 8.4

I’m not gonna cite the THT article stating that Soriano is the best RF arm from 2008 for the umpteenth time, but they are both above average corner fielders. I’d take Soriano right now this season, because he’s healthy.

And just to wrap it all up with the OFs:

Gathright:

LF:16.9
CF: 9.6
OF: 10.9

Joey is a very good defensive OF.

Johnson:

LF: 23.8
CF: -17.1
RF: -7.1
OF: 6.2

Reed is an interesting case, because he has a N in the hundreds for every OF position, but really struggles in CF. And we never put him in LF

Dome:

CF: -30.3
RF: 11.7
OF: 7.0

Apparently Dome isn’t as good a CF (24 games) as we thunk.

And Pie is only a 5.7 UZR/150 outfielder.

But the Orioles probably have the best defensive outfield with Pie, Jones, and Markakis all 5+ UZR/150 outfielders; all are very fast and have good arms.

these 3 1/2 innings are too small of a sample to say the season is not over there is no reason to expect the Cubs to win again. All this game was, is another meaningless game, to raise up our hopes, jsut to crush them like so many paper beer cups. I do not know why they even won this game, since they know they will not win again. MB got a hit, so what, he wont get another until July 37th, mark that down, so when I say I told you so, you know i am right. If anything, Lou should be fired for letting the Cubs score too many runs tonight. We all know that you can only score a certain amount of runs a series, and he used them all this one game, how stupid, fireh im now.

This year it will be an away blue jersey, and I’m leaning “Johnson”…but I’m afraid that it’s such a random name it’s not immediately known by fans. Maybe Soriano would be a good investment, considering he’s with us til 2014. I’ll be buying mine from you, that is if you can ship it to Kansas.

….and to my anti-mantra……….levae runners on base left, right and center,,,,,just score most of’em…

leaving 14 or 15 out there when scoring 10/11 doesn’t hurt…it’s leaving 8 or 9 out tther when not scoring that does…

The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano
