That's a frightening commentary.

So you think Eric Patterson...
…is a better pinch runner/defensive replacement than Joey Gathright?
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Eric... not Corey
I figured with the Gathright mention that this was about Corey.

either is an upgrade

my border collie...
… would be an upgrade.

Corey as an upgrade?
Suddenly I’m feeling a little less optimistic then I was a few minutes ago.

Can your collie jump over a car ?
Seriously. Joey may not hit but he can field and E-Pat can’t

If there were a squirrel...
… on the other end, probably. He’s come ridiculously close to jumping over a 6 foot fence.

That'd be great if the Cubs were competing in the Olympic high jump.
But they’re not.

to answer you about both Eric and Corey
they can hit a ball out of the infield (and strike out as well as Joey), they are not going to be caught leading off first as often, and on the bench they are likely a better option IMO.

Well, in that case, you should replace Sinatro pronto.

I assumed this was about Corey, too.
I wouldn’t want either one.
