How do you say WIN in Espanol?
If you had to choose just one characteristic that would get you through life, choose a sense of humor.

Hmm... One of those words with no easy translation.
Several words can be used for “win” in translation.
If you mean that the Cubs got a win, it would roughly translate as “victoria” (victory). No exact word matches it. However, if you mean that the Cubs win the game, it would translate as “ganan”. (In the past tense, it would be “ganaron”, meaning they won.) On the other hand, if you refer to the win column in the standings, you’re talking about “juegos ganados” (games won) or “victorias” (victorys).

So...........
the Spanish equivalent of the “W” flag would be “V”. Someone needs to market these.

Santo Niño de Atocha
Y quien carajos va a ser el narrador y el comentarista? Vicente Serrano y Tsitsiki Romo? El Chulo de la Mañana? Que pena… Que me contraten a mi.
One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

Ese me cae bien
Los narradores de ESPN Deportes son inteligentes y conocen el juego. Muchos de ellos son ex-peloteros.

Unfortunately, this is not the greatest signal.
Currently, it operates at 10,000 watts daytime and 1,000 watts at nighttime. (The power changes at sunset) So, I doubt if any night games would be aired. The signal wouldn’t cover Chicago.
It’s been a while since I’ve lived in Chicago, and I’ve never heard of 1200 AM, so I looked it up — the broadcast tower must be somewhere SW of Chicago, since the coverage map — ironicallty — shows that South Side and NW Indiana will recieve the best signal.
It will be sketchy around Wrigley Field, and very hard to hear past — Des Plaines, let’s say. At night — forget about it. You’ll hear the station in Joliet.
However, the short blurb about the station in a technical guide shows it’s tower and transmitter are state-of-the-art, so it may out perform what the coverage map shows.
The good news is that WTRO has applied for a raise in power to 20K watts day and 45-hundred watts at night. This would really help during the day, but not that much at night.
This is about the best to be expected for this frequency, for it is on the same dial position as 50-Thousand watt WOAI/San Antonio.
Due to ancient rules, stations such as WOAI (and others, like WGN, WBBM, AM670) have to be protected from night-time sky wave interference.
1200am formerly carried White Sox games, I have also noticed.
If somebody wants to translate this, go for it…

Huh.
Now Ron will have somebody to help him with his pronouncation on some of the names.
Now we just need somebody to translate TMOTTBG into Spanish.
I left my clever sig line in my other pants.

What next............
Tamales, Tecate, re-fried beans and tacos at the ballpark?

Speaking of loscubs.com
from “Inside Radio…”
“…. it is nevertheless worth noting LosCubs.com is the most-visited Spanish-language site among MLB’s 30 clubs……”
The station will also carry White Sox games — it hasn’t discontinued those broadcast.
