Around SBN: The 2009-2010 Card Chronicle Big East basketball preview

I know Al gets most of the kudo's here on the book, "Cubs By The Numbers" (after all...it's his blog), but I was also involved. I thought I would just pass along a nice story from my local paper on me and the book! And remember (obligitory plug coming here) you can easily buy it at Amazon.com. It makes a great Mothers Day or Fathers Day present!

Just got mine this week in the mail

I’ve already finished reading it, just could not put it down. Great book and a great job Kasey. Your website has been a resource of mine for some time, now I have this great book to go along with it! To anyone on BCB that does not own this, talk about a steal of a reference book and a great read! You will dog ear the pages on this one.

Very cool, that's gotta be a good feeling...

to get recognition from your hometown paper!

Afterall, you’re the one who did most of the work on this project, right?

Um, no, he isn't.

It was a collaboration between three people, all of whom contributed considerable work to this project.

I don't think he was.

I have heard this from others. Anyone who takes that point of view is incorrect.

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
