Top 5 Cubs Games of April '09

Which game stands out to you the most?  Was it Soriano's game winning homer in Milwaukee?  Or was it Reed Johnson's "The Catch II" to sit Prince Fielder down?  Was it Ted Lilly's second 1-hit masterpiece on opening day?  Did Alfonso Soriano's go-ahead homer vs. the Cardinals win you over?  Or was it Aramis Ramirez hitting the walk-off shot the next day do it.  Or was it something else???

Choose wisely and leave comments please.

Cool poll, thanks for posting it.

The A-Ram walkoff did it for me.

i'll be back on june 1st...

for the top 5 games of may, and so on and so forth. Then at the end of the season, a compilation of the top games of the year. Hopefully, the #1 game will be the one that ALL of us have been waiting our whole lives for… yeah you know what I mean.
The Soriano one was my fav because you guessed it, I was there. Now it’ll be forgotten about later (as you can see in the voting) because of the next day’s game. I love a-ram but I wish he could have done that either the day before, or on a date farther away from the 17th.

ARam walkoff homer

I’m very fortunate to say that of the four games I attended this year, all four were on this list.

Home Opener

I love winning at home.

I was at the 6-5 game in Milwaukee

So I’ll pick that. Both games I was at are on this list.

Aramis walk off

Just because it’s been the only walkoff, and at the time, believe it or not, the only walkoff of the season.

Aramis

I was at that game. I love an eruption.

This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).

I had to vote other

mainly cuz I was at the season opener in Houston, where Zambrano and Soriano carried us over Oswalt.

baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

Just a suggestion

but maybe a brief synopsis of each game would make the choice easier. I had to look up a couple of those games to jog my memory. That said, I vote for the Reed Johnson game in Milwaukee, if for no other reason than Prince Fielder even had to tip his cap to RJ. A year-end highlight shoo-in.

+10

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Aramis walk off

Like others, I was there. It was probably the best game I’ve ever been to.

I'll go with this one, too.

What can I say? I just love beating the Brewers.

(By the way, this was the Saturday, April 11, game.)
