The Monday Funnies

In the recent History Channel series "Life After People", they showed images of what they speculated Wrigley Field might look after many years with no humans around. This inspired Mike. This is part one of a four-part series.

What the History Channel REALLY should have shown!

For some reason

calling The History Channel “THC” makes me giggle

LOL

Well, how else would you abbreviate it?

The HC

would be an option

"That's what you live for. You live for the opportunity and when that day comes, you better be ready," Soto said. "I tried to make sure that whenever they gave me a chance, I was ready and I knew I had to take advantage of the opportunity."

True.

But did you like the cartoon?

by Al on May 11, 2009 9:42 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

ok

to be honest, the small version is too small to read, and having to scroll around the larger version takes some of the joy out of it.

Well...

… the only way to get all the panels there was to put it in the larger version. Maybe in the future we’ll try to get them posted in smaller chunks.

it worked well for me..

.. to save it to my comp and then open with a jpg viewer — that way I could adjust the zoom to a nice intermediate level.. only took a few seconds..

OK...

… I’ll try to post the next installments in somewhat smaller versions, that will both be readable and require less scrolling.

Deal?

No

I won’t be able to read it if the font gets any smaller.

I won't make it too small, promise.

Soriano still in mid-hop

That’s funny.

LOL - "calcified."

Nice job!

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

lions tigers and bigfoot, oh my

I’m guessing from the opening panel that I’m not the only one getting somewhat annoyed by the History Channel’s programming as of late.

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
