I'm really happy for Scales.
He’s worked hard for 11 years to realize his dream… and he’s been a positive contributor. Is he or will he be a star or superstar? No, but I can see him as a useful bench player for this year’s team.

wouldn't Hoff
be ahead of Scales in that currently?

does Clutche's boyfriend
qualify as a rookie this year? Still?

I believe he would be eligible
based on prior seasons, he didnt have enough time in at the MLB level.

This morning
This morning my CD randomizer that wakes me up every morning landed on Terry Cashman’s Good Enough to Dream that is about players like Scales who either never make it to the bigs or maybe only make it for cups of coffee.
Jay is our Quarterback. I REPEAT JAY IS OUR QUARTERBACK. Did I mention we have a Quarterback who happens to be named Jay?.

This is just begging for a joke about your random posts, but I’m far too tired to think of one.

I don't even put my money in them.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.
To see him so humble was pretty neat to see.

This story just makes me smile more and more
Great guy and great player, hope to see even more from him.
"Every player should be accorded the privilege of at least one season with the Chicago Cubs. That's baseball as it should be played - in God's own sunshine. And that's really living."
Will Scales be That Guy?
Y’know – That Guy – the one who comes out of nowhere to help spur the team to success? Still a long way to go, but I can’t help wondering. There’s no denying the joy he brought to the Cubs dugout last night.

Scales is an easy guy to root for
I hope his success continues and he’s with the team all year long.

I just keep thinking
that even if he’s send back down shortly and is finished, you have to feel good for the guy. He’ll have stories to tell for the rest of his life that the rest of us can only dream of. Fun to watch.
He did great again!

Running the bases after his first homer
should make the year-end highlight reel. That is simply, as Milton Bradley said, feeling baseball.
