WOW!
He’s now a “National Story”?!
People want to root for an underdog. Even more so in a shit economy.
Look at Seabiscuit!

I can't help but wonder...
If he’s getting a little annoyed with telling his story. I would certainly be tired of it now. Of course, maybe he is happy to have the attention after so long out of the spotlight.

i doubt it. After waiting 11 years
in the minors to be able to get a taste of the show, he is probably happy as hell to be in the position he is now. I bet he will happily tell this story for another 20 years with a book sale, and working on MLB Network.
from his blog http://cubsprospect.mlblogs.com/
I have a ton of stuff to write about but I felt it more important to say a sincere “Thank You” to everyone.
baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

Don't go overboard.
The next weeks Scales could bat .115, and be headed west on I-80.

Maybe, maybe not
But he’s shown us all that he’s a class act, and we appreciate that.

He is riding a dream
I doubt he is tired of telling anyone his story. I listened to it yesterday. You’ve arrived when you get five minutes on a station that a whole lot of sports fans can’t find on the dial.

"Dr. Feelgood" crossed my mind as a nickname, too.
The only downside is it does have some drug connotations. “The Substitute” or “The Sub” has shown some signs of catching on.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.
