Perhaps "behind the scenes" Lou was able to talk some sense in to Carlos' brain.

It's hard to say............

……….what Zambrano will do, but it’s likely not to be smart.

Ironic

That you would be making snarky comments about other people’s intelligence when you think Lou “talked sense” into Zambrano.

Because he is, in fact, not a moron, Zambrano is going to take it easy because he has a leg injury. When it’s healed, Zambrano should be running hard most of the time because he is, get this a baseball player. When he’s a hundred percent, he’s going to be giving it his all, like he always does, and like any normal baseball fan wants him to.

Don't I wish.

Much closer on the million dollar brain, however.

Not sure why it double-posted.

If I were responsible...........

………..for the system behind the site, you might be able to say that, but alas, I’m not.

Why thank you.

Do you have some basis for this conclusion or are you ignorant about your subject matter?

I know as much as you do.

How do you know Zambrano has a million dollar arm and a five cent head? You spout your idiocy every chance you get when Zambrano comes up for whatever reason. What makes you think Carlos Zambrano is an idiot? Really, I’d like to know.

I think Z's lunacy............

……….has been well-documented on this site and many others.

That said, don’t know that I mentioned “idiot” in this post. You can double-check that if you’d like.

Your attitude towards him certainly implies that you think he's an idiot.

He doesn't make sound baseball decisions.

Over and over and over again.

Saturday, Piniella said on the pregame show

That he was going to talk to Zambrano about his comments. He was concerned that when someone plays cautious, that’s when injuries tend to occur. Zambrano had also said that after a while, he’d be running like Juan Pierre.

You are picking and choosing facts to support your argument, tville. There is nothing wrong with you having the opinion, but you’re trying to cram it down everyone else’s throat . . . and the fact that you only used part of a quote suggests that you realize how weak your case is to state your opinion as an absolute truth.

The article was entitled "No More Hustling......

……..on the Bases for Carlos Zambrano".

Would that have been a more acceptable title for this post?

Should I choose facts that DON’T support my position?

Geez…………

The fact that Z claims he’ll be running like Juan Pierre further supports my position. He foolishly insists on trying to do things he can’t (or shouldn’t) and this only makes him appear all the more absurd.

Which position are you taking?

That he shouldn’t have done it, or that he’s an idiot?

You used part of the quotes to support that he shouldn’t have bunted, claiming Piniella must have talked sense into him. Now that further evidence is supplied, you’re changing your stance to say that Zambrano’s an idiot and ignoring the fact that Piniella supported what he did.

So, which is it? He shouldn’t have bunted, and his wise manager explained that to him? Or, he shouldn’t have bunted, and his manager is an idiot for supporting it?

I’m not suggesting that you should choose facts that don’t support your position, but you should address those facts. Instead, you conveniently ignore them.

As I've stated repeatedly...............

……….he shouldn’t have done it and because he did that brings his baseball acumen into question.

Surely we know by now that what is stated to the media is not the “whole truth”, and I believe Lou is compelled to say one thing publicly, but might be saying something entirely different in private.

I'll leave you to this, then.

Piniella has called out his players in the past. He has called out Zambrano. To go out of his way to give an articulate defense of something that he didn’t agree with would be out of character, but you’re obviously convinced.

Crusade on if you will. You think you’re right, I think you’re wrong. Life goes on.
