I look forward to seeing Harden pitch
Since I've became a Cub fan when I was 6 years old -- I've always had my favorite players. First it was Ryne Sandberg, Dawson, Sutcliffe... then it was Sosa, Grace, and Wood. I always loved seeing Sosa at bat, because I knew greatness was a very high possibility when he came up to bat. I always loved watching Wood pitch because he always had a chance to throw a no-hitter with the stuff he had. When Prior came up -- I never missed a start.. always had to make sure I was either at the game, or I saw it on TV.
In this generation of Cubs - I have a favorite hitter and pitcher that I have to see almost every at-bat or every single pitch. Aramis Ramirez has always been a joy to watch and he always has the potential to make something happen when he comes up to the plate. On the pitching side - I love to see Harden pitch. Just a pure domination most of the time when he pitches. When we acquired him last year, I was happy as punch because as much as we love Z sometimes we don't know if he is gonna be lights out the way Harden can be.
I thought I would share my perspective just so we could all express who we love to see come to bat and who we have to see pitch. We all have different favorites for different reason, so feel free to say who you love to see play!

I do too
On times Harden pitches, I pay more attention and I’m more excited. But when people like Marshall pitch, I’m not as excited. I enjoy seeing Wells pitch now, he looks great.

You don't like Seany boy?
I love that guy! I hate seeing Kevin Gregg though.
Get Peavy already! I want my #44 jersey!

It's not that I don't like him
I just don’t enjoy seeing him pitch as much.

Wow
If you take this a little further, which pitcher of all time has been a favorite of yours to see pitch? I am blessed to have seen a Gibson, a Marichal & Jenkins and may others. After thinking long and hard my favorite of all time is Jenkins. Of course a Cub.

I love watching Lilly pitch
Harden is a roller coaster. I mean it is fun to watch him but which Harden is going to show up, the dominant one or the one who can’t find the plate ? I liked Lilly since the day he arrived but he seems to get better every year, especially now. He is be the only pitcher on the roster you are not afraid is going to walk guys and fall apart. I like watching all the Cub starters and they all have their strengths and weaknesses but I have more fun watching a pitcher who wins with the kind of fearless " come and hit me " style of Lilly. I would add that a healthy Z is a close second and he has really cut down on walks this year.

I totally agree about Lilly
I do like seeing Harden on the mound, but Ted knows how to get the job done. We talk a lot about "professional hitters’- Lilly is a professional pitcher. He adjusts his game to the effectiveness of his stuff as well as anyone I’ve ever seen. Case in point, at the beginning of last season he lost it briefly and said he was going through a “dead arm” period after throwing a lot of innings the prior year. He quickly made some changes and was very effective. That’s a pitcher, not a thrower.

Harden
I actually like seeing all of our starters pitch right now especially when Z is healthy. I like feeling good on all starters our chances to win a game.
Honestly this is going to sound goofy but when talking about the Cubs I always forget Harden’s name. I’ll be like “The rotation is Z, Dempster, Lilly, Marshall and what’s his name”
Jay is our Quarterback. I REPEAT JAY IS OUR QUARTERBACK. Did I mention we have a Quarterback who happens to be named Jay?.
