Dead Fans Outraged: Cubs Move Memorial Bricks from Beloved Gabby Hartnett Section to Jack Brickhouse Area
Former Madison Wisconsin Mayor Paul Soglin is outraged because the brick in tribute to his late father and uncle is being moved to accommodate the Captain Morgan Club. Is the outrage manufactured because Soglin is a White Sox fan? Anyone else been notified of impending brick movement?

Wilson to Sosa
My brick was moved from Hack Wilson to Sammy Sosa. No offense taken. If the Captain Morgan Club makes money for the Cubs so they can put a better product on the field, OK with me.

My buddy's brick was moved...
…although I think he was upset about being moved, he was more upset no one told him.

Can a dead fan really be outraged?
How does that work, exactly? And how can you tell?
But yeah, if I had a paver at Wrigley, I’d be a bit tourqued off about seeing it moved for the construction of a bar. Personally, I’d rather they just left my brick IN THE BAR. Pour an Old Style on it every week or so.

How much did those bricks cost?
I was checking them out last week after the game. It’s a nice thing to have around the park.

I never saw any bricks with Jerry Garcia’s name.

My brick got moved......
…. and I kept asking around here before it happened, because I could tell the construction was right where my brick was. After it was moved, THEN they tell me it was moved and where it went.

Soglin..
… is a jackass. I met him while I was a student at UW and he was running for Congress. He is a jackass. I think he just needs something to be outspoken about. This is just plain silly that he is complaining about a brick that had only been in its previous location for what, a year or two?

As long as they notify the owners
that their bricks have been moved, I don’t see why people would be upset.

I recently read...
a sad story about a young father who lost his son of two months old. He would never get the chance to take him to his first Cubs game as his father did for him. So he bought a brick in his son’s honor to represent the closest he could get to having him at Wrigley Field. Every time he attended a game, he would stop by his brick and say a prayer. They moved the brick without his knowledge, and nobody in the Cubs organization can tell him where it is, He spent hours looking for it, to no avail.

If they really can't find it...
… the Cubs owe him a new brick.

Pretty bad of the Cubs
Nobody would doubtful be upset that their purchased brick was moved if they were informed where it was relocated. This is more great “leadership” on the part of Crane Kenney, who I personally can’t wait for Tom Ricketts to kick out on the street.

Why is this Crane Kenney's fault?
I fail to see the reason behind your vitriol for Kenney, who has presided over two of the best seasons (well, until October, at least) in recent Cubs history.
