Don't care about that either.
Soto has been pretty good lately, and doesn’t strike out he just hits the crap out of the ball to people. I’ll take that.

Not sure what the surprise is here
Cubs offense has been in the bottom of the NL all year, bears no resemblance to the one from last year, no one takes pitches or walks anymore and without Ramirez I’d rate this offense in the bottom third of the league. And for those who yell “small sample size” the season is 1/5 in the bag. What wouldn’t qualify as a small sample size? When the season is 132 games old? Lilly is keeping them in the game, the SP for our team continues to be more than adequate. Offense — terrible
Our starting pitching has been the best part of this team
But when no two Cubs can get their bats going at the same time, it makes for ugly games like tonight.

Brenly says one of Pineiro's best career efforts
I say probably the worst offensive effort I’ve seen collectively from this team since Pinella came here. 2, maybe 3 quality AB the entire game.

A gem by Pineiro because of lack of patience
any pitcher can boast a great outing when the opposition swings at every pitch.
It's not like he wasn't throwing strikes, anyway

he was throwing strikes because the hitters swung so often.
It was constantly like 1st pitch strike. 2nd pitch out. They weren’t taking pitches so it all doesnt really matter

They have to play better tomorrow..
game is being shown on Aussie ESPN… only the 3rd Cub game I’ll have been able to watch so far this season…

Being shown on US ESPN, too
I may just find a nice spot in a nice bar to watch it

pineiro did nothing special
the cubs beat the ball into the ground all night. Yes, its just “one night” but half of this lineup is still just sucking eggs.
Piniero obvioulsy gave an inspired performance...
He was throwing strikes, and the hitters had the wrong approach. Give credit where credit is due.

I give all the credit to Hendry...
and another pi$$ poor hitting team…..
Last year was obviously and abberationb
The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano

I saw it. It was depressing at the very end.

This offense SUCKS....
I guess the good news is you can’t strand a lot of baserunners when you don’t have a lot of baserunners….
Pinero raised his ERA …ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano
Nothing like ...
a Hendry assembled team going in and delivering a knockout punch to a reeling team….
The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano
Nothin like letting a guy on a 3 game losing streak...
….who’d given up 5-5-4…..
in 6-6-7….
Come in and throw a CG SO……
Rah Rah Rah….229 LEE……and theat Bradley experiment is really paying dividens….
Miles is a F;en JOKE
And Pinella you stupid moron….you aren’t going to manage a lot of wins when you can only trot out 3 guys in the lineup hitting over .225
The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano
Agree on Miles, he's an automatic out!
Just play Scales till he fails! Miles is nothing more than a washed up utility backup. Doesn’t some team owe us, maybe we can dump him for a bag of balls to the Sox or Baltimore?
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
Hendry ... fliped too fast....
You hold DeRo…in his contract year….and let him go 4 nothing ….if u don’t like it…..
Cubs got JSN for him…..cept people who can’t play….and I/ so PO’ed at DLEE right now, DeRo as a starting 1bman don’t look bad……
Cubs should be the yankees of the NL….OR better yet … RED SOX of NL…..this payroll BS kills me…………….if mr owner wants to charge the tix prrices/cable prices/and beer prices….
PUT PLAYERS ON THE FIELD
