Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

The afternoon practice at Valley Ranch in Irving ended in horrifying fashion today as the Dallas Cowboys’ practice facility collapsed during a thunderstorm.

Twelve people were hospitalized, two or three in serious condition, said Dr. Paul Pepe, head of emergency medical services for Dallas County. He said none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.

this aint baseball

which is why it is labeled OT (OFF TOPIC)

Relax man

baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

and im just saying

if this was something that was under the radar or something that only got play in dallas it would be a fine post, but you can literally read this on any website, yahoo, espn, cnn, huffington post

If you look at other OT topics...

…we are currently talking about the Bulls’ playoff chances…and a poster’s kid’s little league team. Just because it’s not directly related to baseball doesn’t mean those @ BCB might not be interested in it. If it’s labeled “OT” and generates discussion, it’s more than fine with me.

I see why he is ticked about this post

he is an Eagles fan with a COWBOYS SUCK avatar.

So it is not that the topic is not baseball related, but rather it is Cowboys related that ticks him off.

and since all BCB posters

like to discuss many things together, there is nothing wrong with posting it here for that reason.

If you do not wish to read about it here, then you do not need to click the topic.

It’ll be nice if/when this crap finally stops.

I am just suggesting this

really doesn’t belong on a Cubs blog. If it doesn’t have anything to do with Chicago teams, or Chicago, or MLB….it really doesn’t need to be here. We can read this anywhere.

This blog’s posts turn over very quickly since so many people are here. I hate the Packers, but I’m not going to post a link when something terrible happens to them. It’s not relevent to this blog.

relax

there were FanShots regarding the Super Bowl here. It is not the end of the world to post and, God forbid, discuss things not Cubs/Baseball here.

How about one about Worf expecting a child soon?

There is nothing wrong with any of the posts mentioned, nor is there anything wrong with this one.

I don't find anything wrong with this one, either.

Again, if you don’t want to read the post, don’t read it. This was a major news story and of interest to people here who are sports fans.

Oh give it a rest

This is a FanShot. Looking over the list of FanShots, there is nothing there that needed to be saved for posterity.

You people’s every utterance does not deserve to be bronzed.

WAYY too much energy is spent dealing with this garbage. Here’s a wonderful, groundbreaking, innovative idea.

Don’t freaking click.

An assistant scout

is permanently paralyzed, the new special teams coach suffered a fractured vertebrae and an assistant trainer had a broken leg. They were among the 12 injuries.

Makes your whining and moaning about FanShots seem even more pathetic, huh?

I'm not sure who you might be

referring to you, but if anybody’s injured, it’s a tragedy.

The facts of the story still has nothing to do about the worthiness of off-subject topics that can be found on ABC, Fox News, Fox Sports, MNSBC, ESPN, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, AOL Sports, Yahoo Sports, and every friggin’ news/sports web site in the country.

That’s all.

with that theory

then anything in sports should not be linked here since it can be read elsewhere.

A Pennsylvania court ruled in December 2006 that Summit was negligent in the design and construction of a membrane-covered building that collapsed in 2003 after a major snowstorm in Philadelphia. The building was constructed for the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority.

Agreed

It has happened before, and it’s always sad to see. I have read reports possible lawsuits may be started, which I definitely can understand, but i think some people need to realize that tornado speed winds hit the facility. Even modern buildings up to code can’t withstand tornados without damage, so I think people also need to take this into account. Many teams now use these, so hopefully it doesn’t happen again.

they are used in College as well as professional level

so it is a much larger issue than this one isolated incident. I am curious how many have had a problem over the years (such as the one in Philly I mention above).
