Yes, definitely.

Soriano has looked awful in this series so far

WTH is his problem? Is he normally this bad in Busch?

I can't remember when the Cubs were shut out two games in a row

But there is too much money invested in this team for it to ever happen. IMHO

I cannot stand any more futility

I’ve seen crap soccer games with higher scoring and tons more emotion and dedication by the players. This is too much for me, and I’m sorry for ranting. I’ve been quiet all game long, but enough is enough.

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

To steal a line from Spinal Tap...

…might I ask a practical question? What might it take to get Mark DeRosa back in a Cub uniform? It’s time to pull the plug on the idea that Mike Fontenot can be a regular. And I’m pretty sure that the league is starting to catch up with that Bobby Scales fella that some can’t understand why on earth it took until the age of 31 for him to “burst” on the major league scene. Aaron Miles? Best leave that one alone (thanks Jim Hendry !!!).

Fonti and Soto should go out tonight...

…get really, really drunk, take tomorrow off, and try their bats in San Diego.

Having Zambrano w/ the 7th best BA on the team....

doesn’t bode well for a good summer…..and the guys below him aren’t even close

The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano

Why Reed...

I say this not necessarily because he K’d

I say this because
1)He is terrible against Right Handed Pitching
2)If he does manage to get a base hit, the score is tied and we have an empty bench since Hill has to come in for Soto anyway.
3)Hill’s AB may have ended in the same result but at least he can hit left handed and all three lefties in that inning had put decent wood on the ball.

Yeah, with some smart play and good fundamentals, STL wouldn't have even had a run!!

Heads up asses all night!
