Yes, definitely.

Soriano has looked awful in this series so far
WTH is his problem? Is he normally this bad in Busch?

A hit would be nice. A home run would be fantastic.

A sandwich would be timely
But I’d be happier with an RBI or two

This offense can not cash
cash in on any base runners. And they arent taking walks. Did the Cubs stay behind in chicago?

I can't remember when the Cubs were shut out two games in a row
But there is too much money invested in this team for it to ever happen. IMHO
i'm out
i’m tired and reading the game thread is starting to hurt my eye.
later everyone. hopefully here tomorrow for the game.
G'night.
Better luck tomorrow.

I cannot stand any more futility
I’ve seen crap soccer games with higher scoring and tons more emotion and dedication by the players. This is too much for me, and I’m sorry for ranting. I’ve been quiet all game long, but enough is enough.
One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.
Yeah, something's gonna give here pretty soon if this keeps up.

Zero emotion, zero focus, zero clutch hitting = zero runs
This is a frickin joke!

Maybe....
The cubs will blow out the cards in the third game, like the last time they were St. Louis.
I'd rather get two ugly wins than one blowout.

To steal a line from Spinal Tap...
…might I ask a practical question? What might it take to get Mark DeRosa back in a Cub uniform? It’s time to pull the plug on the idea that Mike Fontenot can be a regular. And I’m pretty sure that the league is starting to catch up with that Bobby Scales fella that some can’t understand why on earth it took until the age of 31 for him to “burst” on the major league scene. Aaron Miles? Best leave that one alone (thanks Jim Hendry !!!).
Jake Fox and/or Hoff, with perhaps two pitchers...
I'm a truth teller, I'm a risk taker, I'm like Johnny Cash - I walk the line...

Anybody know why we haven’t seen Freel over at third? I know he was a bit banged up but I thought it was nothing serious. Fonty’s just not getting it done at the plate.

Having Zambrano w/ the 7th best BA on the team....
doesn’t bode well for a good summer…..and the guys below him aren’t even close
The best defense is a good offense.....Lou Pinella...still hasn't managed the Cubs to a post season win. D. Lee still doesn't have a post seasson RBI for Cubs...ditto for Soriano
Why Reed...
I say this not necessarily because he K’d
I say this because
1)He is terrible against Right Handed Pitching
2)If he does manage to get a base hit, the score is tied and we have an empty bench since Hill has to come in for Soto anyway.
3)Hill’s AB may have ended in the same result but at least he can hit left handed and all three lefties in that inning had put decent wood on the ball.
