This article amused me.
The author lays out a series of statistics designed apparently to support his opening premise that Fukudome is just repeating 2008 all over again. When he reaches the summary, however, he says of Kosuke’s hot start:
Will it last? This is the money question, and something no one really knows for sure. However, if I had to venture a guess I would say that Fukudome is likely to decline quite a bit in the next few months.
LOL. Of course no one really knows for sure, because it’s called The Future. And if he “had to venture a guess?” Well, I suppose he didn’t have to, but he ought to, since it’s his damn article, one in which he just finished laying out a case that Fukudome is doomed to repeat the past. People who write like this make me sigh.

This article reads suspiciously like...
…this Fangraphs article from late last year. I’m not going to waste my energy comparing them line by line, but let the record reflect. And I agree with Goodie; it’s really more of a data dump that fails to make a particularly strong point.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.
