Oh. My. Lord.
[Carla Horvatch] found that the game didn’t get in the way of what she came for.

“Especially during the innings, we’re able to socialize,” she said.

It’s a lucky thing for Ms. Horvatch that the game didn’t get in her way. It happens quite frequently at other sports venues.

Carla's quote says it all.

In her defense, though, the D’Backs are hardly a thrilling team this year. I’m just glad the Cubs aren’t going back to that God forsaken place.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

I hated that damn pool...

…thing the first time I saw it.

The people who pay $30 for a seat on one of the Diamond Club’s two levels are the same people who are on the VIP and preferred-customer lists at a variety of Scottsdale nightclubs and magazines.

I nearly choked on laughter after reading the above, though; how could thirty bucks equate to VIP-status?

That's not part of the pool area is it?

Pool is in RCF, this is behind the batters eye, right?

As far as Ms. Horvatch, the key word in that whole section is “sorority”.

I don't think too many stadiums can lay the whole "party central" on us anymore

The last game I went to was at Miller Park. I was given tickets to sit int he Friday’s Section. The area was packed the entire night with no one facing the game, even though it was right behind them.

I think the important question here is...

Scottsdale has a thriving VIP club scene? Who’d’ve known…

You haven't been to Scottsdale lately

Doesn't matter really

Wrigley still is the party capital. There are no special amenities at Wrigley to attract these types. It’s like Ferrous Oxide (rust on iron). It occurs naturally, needs a lot of oxygen and is unstable at all temperatures on the planet.

the heck?

The club, which has a capacity of 270, has a minimalist feel that LeVine says is in step with the decor at popular Scottsdale clubs: black curtains for a private feel, 10 plasma TVs that air the game, framed photos of players on the brick walls. The bar is set back from the seating area in its own all-white room, glassed at the front so drinkers don’t have to miss a minute of the action – whether it’s on or off the field.

Just go to a freakin’ BAR. Way less expensive.
