Another reason to get an iPhone

Whether you love or hate the iPhone, you must admit that the newest feature to the MLB at bat is awesome!! The newest feature to the MLB at bat application is that you get to watch the condensed version of EVERY game!! The condensed version shows every out, and every pitch in 10-15 minutes. That is in addition to the live gameday audio! It is also very easy to use as just a schedule/standings aid. Best $10 I ever spent!! There is also a decent app that is built for stats. And it seems to be up to date most of the time. Shows just basic stats, though...not sure of the name of the app. Just search for "baseball stats" This maybe should have been a fanshot, I don't know. But, I didn't understand that fanshot page. Plus there should be an "info" tab for fanshots. Just an idea...

I’ll definitely make sure to get the MLB at bat app.

Should've waited...

New one supposed to be coming out in June. But the app is awesome.

Someday we'll go all the way...

I love it.

I can listen to Pat and Ron anywhere (I live in San Diego). Video highlights are on my iphone about 10 minutes after they occur. And now condensed games. A great deal for $10.

Just don't talk too loud about this.

If they find out how much people like it, they will either:

a) take it away, or

b) raise the price.

I'd be real surprised

if the price doesn’t go up next year.

I think the new version they are going to release

is a scaled down version of the iPhone. Kind of like the Nano iPod.

I bought a iPod Touch a few months ago and love it. I would have bought an iPhone if you could only purchase a data plan. I’d pay for a data plan but don’t use a cell phone much.

They used to offer a pre-paid phone plan for the iPhone but they got rid of that option when the released the 2nd generaton of the iPhone.

Hey, it's a new century!

I'd pay $50. Its awesome...

… but good point. Can’t let them know…

THIS APP SUCKS. IT SHOULD BE FREE!

Sound Quality?

I had seen reviews that said the sound comes and goes. What say you?

Also, I wish this were part of the MLB.TV package. I have that but am reluctant to pay another 10$ for a mobile version.

The sound

is reasonably consistent in my experience…..the occasional dropout, but it’s not a killer.

At first, early in the season, the sound level was kind of low if you were listening through the little built-in speaker rather than headphones, but they seem to have jacked it up a little since then.

I agree about how it should be part of the TV package….but it’s still a good deal.

The app rocks!

It’s too bad that when you are at Wrigley, AT&T’s service is horrendous. I rarely can connect to the app. Would be nice to tune in for video replays and audio clips while at the game, but thanks to the network, no dice.

I heart the riot. (www.riotshirts.com)

I think that 30,000+

people either texting (although text uses teeny bandwidth) or calling all at the same time have to have an affect on the network. Also, lack of multiple towers in/around Wrigley.

Wrigley should have Wi-Fi

so you could use the iphone to watch the highlights and keep track of stats easier. I think AT&T Park has it…

Turner Field definitely does

It was great using my ipod touch to facebook game updates out and see stats they didn’t display on the board.
