I feel sorry
for Rockies fans. Going from Hurdle to Jim Tracy is not exactly an inspiring regime change (take it from this Dodger fan — Jim Tracy is a really nice guy and not a terrrrrible manager, but pretty darned mediocre when he ran LA.) Hurdle’s bad, really bad, though, no idea how he kept on for so long.
Jim Tracy tends to talk like this:
“Is firing Clint Hurdle the right thing to do? Only time will tell.
Am I the best person for the job. I hope so.
Is it annoying that I interview myself? Probably.
Was I a boring manager? I don’t think so.”

A more ridiculous answer
Of course he knows he shouldnt…the question is why does he keep doing it? I have heard that the heavy bat he uses could contribute because he has trouble stopping his swing. Other times it looks like he simply doesnt see the ball out of the pitchers hand. Its an interesting question because he is so talented but he cant break that habi.t

what does Lou napping have to do with anything
I hardly see how Lou Pinella has anything to do with professional starters sucking eggs whenever they see a man on base.

you’d agree he has nothing to do with when things are going well right?
by DartmouthCubsFan on May 29, 2009 3:07 PM CDT up reply actions
You should presume that
Pinella should be blamed when he makes bad decisions. Putting out his starting lineup and assuming that one of them will put together a competent at bat with men on base is hardly a managerial action item

1.Crappy bullpen blows games

3. Strand LOTS of runners in scoring position
Now if our starting pitching were not so good I might actually be depressed
