A good victory for a number of reasons

The Cubs showed they can win when scoring few runs, particularly against a very good team.

In fact, the pitching has been excellent against the Dodgers in this series so far. They had been scoring a lot of runs going into yesterday.

With the pitching matchups the next few days, I feel good about the Cubs’ chances.

For ONCE the Cubs will not only be the “A” game but the Yankees, Red Sox and Mets DO NOT PLAY in the Saturday game slot. Unless you live in Phoenix , Atlanta, Minneapolis or Tampa you will almost surely get the Cubs game.

I’ll worry about the team when they’re not getting their chances. That’s when there’s real issues.

But just got through listening to the archived game on MLB audio (the WGN feed of course) and what a great win!!
